The next day wasn't an amusement park day, we were free to do whatever it was the hotel had to offer us. We spent the majority of the day at our hotel's pool.

Anita kept telling us that it was too chilly to go to the pool. There was a nice breeze out, but it really wasn't that bad, it could have been worse. Plus, the sun was shining directly on us and the pool was heated. It was huge, it even had a small water slide. Most of our class decided to hang out by the pool, Diane and Justin included and they came by us.

Paxton begged everyone to play chicken fight with him. It didn't take that much convincing for Bella to get onto his shoulders and then everyone else joined along. They went against Javier with Diane on his shoulders, and Justin with Ricky on his shoulders. Kailey and I did not want to play, we watched from the side of the pool and kept our legs dangling into the semi-warm water.

I told Javier about Diane's and my small talk on the plane and he was happy about it. Though he was hesitant to say yes when she asked to play with him. I think he didn't want to upset me. I didn't want to play, so it was fine for him to play with someone who did want to.

"What do you think about Bella and Paxton?" Kailey asked me as we watched Ricky get knocked off our Justin's shoulders brutally by Diane.

I raised a brow. "Like, together?"

Kailey nodded. "Bella's always talking about him, I think they would be so cute. And then all of us will be in a relationship and we can go on triple dates!"

Bella and Diane were wrestling while on top of Paxton and Javi. It was an intense battle between them and Bella was winning. Javi was struggling to keep his balance as Paxton tried to overtake him while keeping Bella safe on his shoulders. They were about to win, that was until Diane found some inner strength and gave a hard push against Bella. The action caught Paxton off guard and he fell back into the water, Bella crashing down with him and making a loud splash as she hit it right after him.

Kailey pursed her lips. "Wait... but you and Javier still aren't official."

"Thanks for reminding me." I said, my tone wry.

"That's so weird." She dragged out the word 'weird.' "Javier's playing games. He needs to hurry up."

"Tell me about it." I chuckled. "But it's fine. I mean, I'm a little confused on what we're still waiting on at this point, but I am trying to be patient."

"I don't think you'll have to wait much longer." Kailey muttered with a smirk.

I kicked my feet in the water. "Why do you say that?"

Her eyes widened in a flash of surprise but she quickly brought herself back to normal. She clears her throat. "Oh...just because—I don't know, it's been a while so maybe it will happen soon. Yeah? Yeah."

She stuttered nervously and I narrowed my eyes as I tried to figure her out, but I let it go when the sound of Justin yelling took my attention. He was calling Kailey and me wimps for sitting on the sidelines while they played. According to him, we were not playing because we were scared to lose him. Then everyone joined in on the teasing and tried to provoke us into joining.

Kailey wasn't playing because she didn't like the game. She didn't like the fact that a big part of the game was being submerged underwater when you lost. Submerged was a bit dramatic, she was just exaggerating the feeling of falling and sinking in the water. I wasn't playing because I didn't have much desire to. I was alright with sitting on the edge of the pool for a bit, especially since I had been in the water earlier.

That was until they kept egging us on, saying how we would easily lose against all of them. Kailey and I tried not to give in to their clear effort of riling us up, but they were very good at it.
