Taehyung's breaths came in shallow, restless rhythms as the night clung to the city like a suffocating blanket. The moon hung high, casting long, distorted shadows over the narrow streets as he wandered aimlessly, trying to clear his head. But no matter how far he walked, no matter how many alleys he crossed, the heaviness in his chest refused to lift.

His thoughts returned to Y/n. There was something about her that unsettled him—something that felt like a distant memory, a haunting echo from a time he couldn't recall. The way her eyes shimmered in the dim light, the way her voice was soft yet full of hidden weight.

He hated how much she lingered in his mind, pulling him into the dark corners of his own soul.

Taehyung paused under a flickering streetlight, the shadows playing tricks on his vision. His mind kept tugging him back to that moment, to the way Y/n had looked at him before walking away earlier that morning.

What was she hiding?

He clenched his fists, staring at the ground beneath his feet. A nagging feeling clawed at his insides, whispering that he didn't deserve whatever connection he felt with her. That he was nothing but a cursed man walking among the living, unable to escape the chains of his past.

Just then, a noise broke the silence—soft footsteps echoing from the alleyway nearby. His body tensed, instincts sharpened by years of growing up in the harsh, unforgiving slums.

He turned toward the sound, narrowing his eyes as a figure emerged from the shadows. It was a man—tall, broad-shouldered, his face obscured by the hood of his jacket. The man moved with a purpose, his steps slow and deliberate, as though he had been waiting for this moment.

Taehyung's heart rate quickened, the air around him growing colder. Something was wrong.

"Who are you?" Taehyung demanded, his voice low, fists ready at his sides.

The man didn't respond immediately. Instead, he stepped forward, his face now visible in the dim light. Taehyung froze. The man's eyes gleamed with a dark, unsettling intensity—a predatory stare that sent chills down Taehyung's spine.

"You've forgotten me," the stranger said, his voice a deep, chilling whisper.

Taehyung's brows furrowed. Forgotten him? His heart pounded in his chest, confusion warring with the growing sense of dread.

"I don't know you," Taehyung spat, though the words felt hollow even to his own ears.

The man smirked, stepping closer until he was mere inches from Taehyung. "Oh, but you do," he said, his voice laced with malice. "You've known me for longer than you can imagine, Taehyung. And I'm here to remind you of the sins you've tried so hard to bury."

Taehyung's blood ran cold
