Authors Note.

Hi everyone! Just remember that this is a sequel to my previous flicker story I have written. I recommend checking that one out first so parts of the story make sense.

Never the less I hope you enjoy my story! :)

...

Mason's POV

The sharp city streets are as hustling and bustling as usual. Heavy shopping bags hang from my extended arms as I try to navigate the busy downtown street.

None of these dangling shopping bags are mine, though. I don't buy this much stuff in a year. Instead, it's the stuff of the girl who walks in front of me.

She has silky blonde hair that bounces up and down on her shoulders, and a crisp, clean cell phone squashed up against her left ear.

She's my best friend Viola.

Viola chatters away into the phone, cutting smoothly through the crowded street. I am less graceful, as I rush to keep up with her, and end up nearly knocking over an elderly grandmother and little boy with a mop of dark brown hair that looks like her grandson.

"Woah, sorry!" I say, as I quickly as I avoid knocking them over onto the busy city street.

The grandmother shoots me a disapproving look, huffs, and turns away from me.

I don't have time to look back to them and try to apologize again because Viola has definitely not been waiting for me.

I cut my way through the street, trying to tuck my arms in as tightly as I can without causing any of Violas shopping to end up tumbling off of my arms.

I finally make out her blonde hair, in a crowd, walking down the street, and I rush through the gaps between people, trying to catch up with her fast-paced walk.

I finally make it to Violas' side, and I decide to walk just a little behind her so I don't hit her with my outstretched arms, the shopping bags still hanging off them.

She chatters away into the phone, barely noticing that I have caught up to her.

I catch Viola saying the word "Goodbye." Before she rips the cell phone away from her ear and presses the hangup button with her long nails.

"Mason, you won't believe this!" Viola says, flicking her head round to me, an excited expression on her face.

"What is it Vi?" I say, trying to sound excited as I juggle her shopping.

"I was talking to Amani, and apparently Eduardo actually did manage to get tickets for us!" Viloa says in a very fast and excited tone. I catch her, say the word tickets, and I rack my brain, trying to remember what tickets she is talking about.

I can't remember what exactly she is talking about, so I settle on responding in a simple way.

"Wow, that's awesome, Vi." I say, trying to sound cheerful, as I dodge the people passing by us.

"I know, right?" She says, sharply turning to face me. As she does this, she nearly knocks over a cup of coffee a middle-aged man in holding. Viola doesn't notice this, though.

I notice my arms starting to droop, a little with the weight of all her shopping bags.

"Hey, just going out on a limb here Vi, but do you mind if we go to a shop I like next?" I ask her.

Viola giggles to herself.
"No way, Mason." She says smugly.

I sigh dramatically and very sarcasticly as we continue to walk down the street.
