"Eunji, I'm sorry."
I turned around, startled by the familiar voice.
"What?"
"Please forgive me, Eunji," the man pleaded, his tone soft and apologetic.
"I... I don't know."
"Eunji," Jaehyun murmured, reaching out to gently pat my head.
"I won't leave you again."
His words froze me. My heart wavered, caught between disbelief and hope.
"You're lying."
"No, you're lying!" I pushed his hand away and turned to run.
"Liar! Liar!" I shouted as I fled.
"HEY!"
A pillow smacked me in the face, jerking me awake.
"What the-?" I shot up, glaring at Minseo, who was standing by my bed with a second pillow in hand.
"What were you dreaming about to be shouting like that?" she asked, raising an eyebrow, her tone a mix of curiosity and irritation.
Oh. It was just a dream.
"Get up and shower. I need to go to school," she said, tossing the other pillow onto my lap.
And no, she didn't mean high school. Minseo was a college professor now. Oh, and let's not forget-she's single. If you know, you know.

After breakfast, I hopped into my car-a sleek little sedan I bought with my own hard-earned money. Life was good. My wallet was happy, my confidence was high, and the day felt promising.
Until I got to the office.
Walking toward the elevator, I froze mid-step.
It was him.
Jaehyun.
He was heading to the same floor as me. My heart thudded in my chest, a mix of panic and curiosity.
Why here? Why now?
Without thinking, I ducked behind a large potted plant, peeking out just enough to see him step into the elevator. The doors slid shut, and I let out a breath of relief.
Crisis averted.
Shaking off the encounter, I waited for the elevator to return. Once inside, I pressed the button for my floor, trying to calm the storm of thoughts swirling in my head.
When I reached my office floor, I walked briskly toward my room. But just as I was about to open the door, someone tapped me on the shoulder.
"Ms. Baek."
I turned around to see Mr. Kim, my boss, smiling at me.
"Good morning, Mr. Kim," I greeted with a polite bow.
"Allow me to introduce our new prosecutor, Mr. Lee," he said, gesturing to the man standing beside him.
I blinked, my stomach twisting in disbelief.
It was Jaehyun.
The very man I had been avoiding all morning was now standing in front of me. And not just that-he was working in the same office as me?!

Seungmin's POV
Group Chat: 2 Angels and 1 Alien
Minseo 🐵: I'm hungry.
Me: Just say you want me to treat you. 😒
Minseo 🐵: I didn't say that. 🙄
Eunji 😇: Let's have lunch together later.
Minseo 🐵: That's what I'm saying! I don't have any classes during lunch.
Me: Who wants a ride?
Eunji 😇: Me!
Minseo 🐵: Me too!
Me: Sorry, Minseo. Your workplace is way out of my way.
Minseo 🐵: Fine.
Eunji 😇: Aren't you two working in the same place now? LOL.
I rolled my eyes at the banter and put my phone down, opening my laptop to review the pile of work waiting for me.
Just as I got into the zone, my phone buzzed with a call from an unknown number.
I hesitated for a moment, then hit the red button to decline the call.
It wasn't the first time the number had called me, and honestly, it was starting to get on my nerves.
Who keeps calling me?
