can someone explain why we are so mad at fitz? or even the ship sofitz or fitzphie (Sophie and fitz)

like every single fanfic I read is fitz being the bad guy and the comments are like "throw him off a cliff" or "I'm getting Grady's bat with spikes"

I know I shouldn't feel bad, it's a fictional character! (no its not) but honestly it's like so bad.

we all have our moments and tbh if fitz wasn't obsessed with the match making system he would be a good fit for Sophie. honestly, he kinda is.

im not saying i like REALLY ship it, I prefer sokeefe but they aren't even as bad as people say.

(get your books out) in legacy (idk what page), Fitz says "I want things to be normal again, I miss my girlfriend" or something like that

AND he understands that Sophie isn't ready for a boyfriend / doesn't want a boyfriend at that time and he accepts that she only wants him as a friend for now.

Yes, he does have angry issues, yes, he does lash out on Sophie a lot, but did he have some pretty good reasons?

Well the one that basically caused Fitz to come over to Havenfield was that Sophie took over the project Fitz was working on, went to Candleshade with Keefe, and let Alvar go.

Tbh if I was him I would be pretty mad too.

1. Fitz was already working on that project, and in the argument he did have some pretty good point like "Oh, because you the moon lark, Lady Sophie Foster had to swoop in and take it from me." Yes, it was a bit excessive but he did have a point did he not? Like I do not like how Sophie sometimes acts like she owns the place

2. Obviously, I would be mad and jealous that Sophie, who is a girl, went to Candleshade with Keefe, who is a boy. Yeah, I would be mad. But honestly I think he was trying to be understanding because Sophie has a lot of guy friends and I think less girl friends.

3. I do wish he wasn't so caught up with the match but would you want to deal with unnecessary bullying and scorn for you and your kids when it could be solved by finding your biological parents? I don't think so. Plus, Fitz didn't know how she was feeling because she wasn't telling him and she was refusing to let Fitz talk about it.

I do realized that Fitz was saying "Oh you can tell me when you're ready" and she literally couldn't tell him but I do understand where he's coming from. I wish he was more supportive to Sophie.

Anyways the Fitz bashing is unnecessary
