"But...there is something else, something you should know." My heart started pounding faster, and I swallowed hard.
"What is it?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
"Well..." Jimin hesitated for a moment, as if debating whether he should tell me or not. Finally, he leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a whisper.
"I overheard Taehyung talking to Jungkook yesterday and even today in the morning," he said.
"-and they were talking about you." A wave of dread washed over me.
"What were they saying?" I asked, even though I wasn't sure if I wanted to know the answer. Jimin looked troubled, clearly frustrated that he didn't have all the information.
"I just know they were talking about you," he said.
"-and they were being very secretive about it. They wouldn't tell me anything, but...I have a bad feeling, Sarang."
My heart raced at Jimin's words, and I couldn't help but worry about Jaewoo's safety. Taehyung had been furious the previous night, and if he was angry enough to talk about me behind my back, who knows what he might do?
"Thanks for telling me, Jimin," I said quickly, already feeling the need to take action.
"I...I need to talk to him. Right now." Jimin noticed the desperation in my voice and looked at me with concern.
"Wait, what are you going to do?"
I ran fast and stopped once I found Taehyung and Jungkook standing by a locker, their voices low as they talked. Taehyung was visibly upset, his jaw set in a tight line, his eyes darkened with anger.
As I approached, I heard Taehyung hiss through gritted teeth.
"That bastard was lying!"
I paused behind the nearest pillar, eavesdropping on their conversation, my heart in my throat. I could hear Jungkook trying to calm Taehyung down, his voice low and placating.
"Maybe he was really her boyfriend, Tae," he reasoned.
"You could be mistaken, you know?"
"No, I'm not mistaken," Taehyung snapped back, his eyes narrowing.
"I saw the way they were acting, the way they looked at each other. There's no way he's her boyfriend. I know it."
I winced as the book slipped from my sweaty hands and hit the floor with a loud thud. Taehyung and Jungkook immediately turned in my direction, their eyes widening as they saw me standing there.
Taehyung's jaw clenched, his expression becoming icy, while Jungkook looked both surprised and concerned.
I took a deep breath, gathering my courage, and stepped forward, locking eyes with Taehyung.
