The only difference was his plain white shirt layered under a navy Polo jacket, adding a subtle touch of coordination.

Kyree chuckled, a low, throaty sound as he shook his head, amused but choosing not to say anything more. He let the moment linger, their silent understanding passing between them, the teasing exchange adding to the playful ease of their reunion.

Kam spoke up, breaking the moment. "So, what ride we gettin' on first?" he asked, his eyes scanning the fairgrounds, the excitement clear in his voice.

Ja didn't hesitate, lifting his hand to point at the biggest ride towering over the others. "That one," he declared with a mischievous grin.

Jaz immediately scrunched up her face, giving Ja a once-over with an expression of disbelief. "Nah, no, fuck no," she said firmly, crossing her arms. "We not gettin' on that. Let's start with the little stuff first."

Ja smacked his teeth in frustration, stomping his foot like a child denied his favorite toy. He turned to Jhream, annoyance flashing in his eyes. "See! This why we should've left her. She don't like riding."

Jhream ignored Ja's antics, focusing instead on her camera as she started it up. She squinted slightly into the lens, positioning it just right before speaking.

"Hey y'all, it's y'all girl Jhream, back after like six months with another video," she said, her tone light and energetic. She turned the camera toward the group, showing them off with a playful wave of her hand. "We at the fair right now."

Nari waved at the camera with a cheerful smile. Ja, ever the troublemaker, stuck his middle finger up, his grin wide and defiant.

Kam licked his lips and smiled, flashing his pearly whites. Kyrae gave a friendly wave, while Jaz scrunched her face up in playful annoyance.

Darius bit his lip, adding a bit of cool flair to the moment, and Kiari shyly smiled, peeking over Kyree's shoulder.

Kyree, holding Kiari securely, threw up gang signs at the camera with a nonchalant expression.

Jhream cut her eyes at Ja and Kyree, her gaze sharp and unimpressed. "Don't be doin' that in my camera," she said firmly, mugging them both with a glare.

Ja didn't miss a beat, flicking her off again with a smirk. Kyree shrugged, a lazy grin spreading across his face. "Tune do what he want," he said casually, his shoulders lifting in a dismissive gesture.

Jhream cut her eyes at Ja and Kyree, mugging them with a sharp, "Not around me, bye." She dismissed them with a flick of her hand.

Kyree waved her off lazily, a smirk playing on his lips. Darius, ready for some action, spoke up. "Come on, let's go ride." He turned and started walking away, leading the group without revealing where they were heading.

The rest followed, their curiosity piqued but unsure of what Darius had in mind. They wound through the bustling fairground, weaving past the vibrant lights and the mingling scents of fried foods and cotton candy.

As they neared the ride, Jhream and Kyree squinted, trying to read the flickering neon sign ahead. "The Phantom Plunge," it read in bold, ominous letters. The structure loomed over them, a massive, twisting steel behemoth that seemed to pierce the night sky.

From above, the air was filled with the high-pitched screams of those brave—or foolish—enough to take the plunge.

Jhream let out a breath, her eyes wide as she tilted her head back to take in the full height of the ride. She brought the camera up, recording the intimidating scene. Shaking her head, she whispered into the lens, "Guys, I'm not getting on that, so."
