"You somehow look more relaxed and more tense than the last time I saw you. Did somethin' happen?" Tommy's voice pierces through Joel's thoughts as they sit in the cluttered office of their carpentry business, surrounded by the scent of sawdust and the faint sound of tools echoing from the workshop.
Joel leans back in his chair, running a hand through his hair. "It's nothin', Tommy. Just had a...complication with one of the houses we're workin' on."
Tommy's gaze sharpens. "Complication? Like, the kind that needs a sledgehammer to fix?"
Joel forces a laugh, the tension in his chest not quite dissipating. "Nah, it's just the usual shit with clients. You know how it is."
Tommy leans forward, his elbows on the desk, his eyes searching Joel's. "You sure that's all it is? You've been actin' weird since last week."
Joel sighs, rubbing his temples. "It's just stress, alright? The job's been hectic lately. And the new project is givin' me a damn headache."
"So you haven't had sex? 'Cause that's the kinda 'relaxed' you're lookin'." Tommy's teasing voice cuts through Joel's thoughts of Sienna like a hot knife through butter.
Joel glares at him, his mind racing. He hasn't told anyone about what happened with Sienna, especially his little brother. "Fuck off, Tommy. You don't know shit about what's goin' on in my life."
Tommy holds up his hands in a gesture of surrender. "Alright, alright. I'm just sayin', if you need to talk—"
"I said it's nothing!" Joel snaps, cutting him off. The last thing he needs is to confess about Sienna. The thought of her sends a jolt of heat through him, and he quickly shifts in his chair. He's not sure if he's mad that she got away, or if he's just mad at himself for letting things get out of hand.
Tommy's eyes widen at Joel's sudden outburst, but he doesn't push it. He's known his brother long enough to know when not to cross that line. Instead, he leans back in his chair, popping open a can of soda. "Okay, okay. But you know where to find me if you do decide to talk. I'm not one to judge, 'specially when it comes to you."
The office falls quiet again, the only sound the ticking of the clock on the wall and the distant hammering from the workshop. Joel's mind keeps drifting back to that night, to Sienna's scared, yet aroused eyes looking up at him, her body trembling beneath his touch. He'd never felt so alive, so in control. It was exhilarating, but it was also fucked up. He shakes his head, trying to focus on the blueprints sprawled across the desk. The new project was a big deal, a renovation of an old Victorian mansion that was rumored to be haunted. It had all the potential to be their best work yet, but he couldn't get the memory of her tight pussy clenching around him out of his head. "Fuck..."
Tommy glances up from his work, noticing the distraction in Joel's gaze. "Maybe you should take a night off, go grab a drink or somethin'. Clear your head."
