Chapter 6: Fireflies ━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Lola could hands down say that she had never ran so fast in her life, peter tried to keep up but to no avail. Her lungs burned and her legs hurt but it didn't even register in her mind, the only thing she cared about was getting to her sister.
Lola's footsteps where heard by both Derek and Scott ad she sprinted into the abandoned building before skidding to a stop, her eyes flickering around before deflating when she didn't see Cora.
"Where is she?" Lola wondered, swallowing thickly as Peter ran into the bank
"They got free." Derek told her gently
"How?" Peter questioned, his brows furrowing as he looked at them incredulously
Derek opened his mouth about to tell the two how Allison broke the mountain ash seal and let the blood thirsty wolves out to save himself and Scott but the McCall but interrupted him before he could.
"Allison." Chris scolded wishing she was nowhere near the fight while the girl just smile sheepishly
"Then wind!" Scott blurted out making Derek roll his eyes while Lola and Peter turned to him slowly
"The wind?" Lola questioned with a deadpan expression "That's all you could come up with?"
Scott merely just smiled sheepishly making Lola sigh, shaking her head slightly as she turned to the screen once more.
"The wind?" Peter rose an eyebrow as he looked at the boy as though he was stupid
"That's probably one of the worst lies you have ever told." Lola spoke shaking her head as Scott's eyes widened slightly "But I don't have time for this, we have two feral werewolves to find. Let's go."
As the Marshall girl headed for the exit her phone began to ring making her sigh slightly before frowning concerned when she saw it was Lydia.
"Hey Lyds. You okay?" Lola wondered, her worry increasing when she heard Lydia's frantic heartbeat
"Lo." Lydia's voice trembled slightly, her breathing slightly heavy "I need you."
"Where are you?" Lola questioned, her hand running through her hair
"The pool at the high school. Lo...I think there's a dead body." Lydia states making the other werewolves turn to her wide eyed while Lola paused slightly
"Yeah, okay. I'm on my way." Lola told Lydia softly before ending the call and turning to the other wolves "I'll meet up with you guys in a bit. Call me if you find them."
"Will do." Peter nodded, smiling at her softly before she quickly ran off again, shifting into her coyote form to get to Lydia quicker.
