The only sleepovers Tyler's had are the one his baseball team do once a month because, apparently, the coach thinks they should 'bond'. When, in reality, it's only used as an excuse to be on their phones for hours without being yelled at by parents.
Is it fun? No. Productive? No. Do they even bond? Not unless you count occasionally showing someone a video, no.
He doesn't know why he even joined them in the first place. They aren't a good influence, because they all think fucking Barron is cool. They aren't fun, and it's so awkward. Taylor's told him multiple times to just to make an excuse not to go, and she's even got mom to agree with her multiple times.
And, okay... maybe he should've listened to them before. But! But, he did stop hanging out with them after the whole 'Barron Incident'. And even before that he hasn't had a 'sleepover' with them for a little over two months.
Still, sleepovers have never been Tyler's thing. They've always been Taylor's. He'd prefer a night in, alone in his room, playing the bass-
(That dream died when his dad did. The string broke and was never fixed, no matter how hard he tried to make it look perfect-)
-playing the guitar. The one that's always center stage than background.
He'd always preferred to stay by himself. Sometimes he'd go on walk with only the Moon and Stars to guide him. He never cared for them, actually. They were just holes in the sky, so he doesn't get why Logan loves them so much. He only liked that they make the streets light up- helps clear his mind.
He's never been good with getting sleep. Maybe it's because of his dad, maybe it's some weird fear he gained that Taylor and mom wouldn't be there in the morning. He's not sure. He'll probably do a google search when he gets really bored.
(He ignores how it might be self-destructive).
So, you might be able to understand his confusion when he wakes up around ten with a sore neck and red lines all over his arms, as a sign that, yes, he did in fact get a good nights sleep.
He groans, cracking his neck and rubbing the red marks. The TV- for some reason- is still showing the MarioKart8 loading screen, controllers are all over the room, and everyone is practically sleeping onto of each other-
Wait.
No.
Logan's missing.
He slowly pushed himself up against the couch, blinking to get ride of the sleep left in his eyes. Looking around the room to see if Logan is just in a corner or something.
The window is cracked open.
Tyler rolled his eyes and got up, slowly as to not wake anyone. Grabbing his phone from in between the couch, he makes his way to the window and opens it enough to stick his head out.
And God, if it isn't cold. He can practically feel his nose growing red and see his breath. He flinches when he first pokes his head out. Blinking hard to try and get rid of the pricks of ice that thought it would be funny to blind him.
He blowed into his hands and looks around. No Logan. He called out his name and gets no response.
What did you think would happen? He's not up there.
Great. Just great..
He sighed and bit his cheek, going back inside. Closing the window behind him. The others are still asleep, luckily, so he doesn't have to worry about looking like an idiot.
