Barry and Emma were seated on the couch in the loft, the warm aroma of Thai takeout filling the air. A large container of pad Thai sat in front of them, along with a couple of egg rolls, the fried snacks crispy and golden. The soft hum of the TV played in the background, but neither of them seemed to be paying attention. Barry was halfway through his dinner, enjoying the quiet moment when Emma suddenly paused, staring at her plate.

"I found out something today," Emma said, her voice almost casual, but the way she said it made Barry put down his chopsticks and look at her.

"What do you mean?" he asked, sensing that something was off.

Emma took a deep breath, then leaned back in her seat, her fingers fidgeting with her chopsticks. "I'm a metahuman," she said it almost like it was just a fact she had learned, rather than a revelation.

Barry blinked, momentarily confused. "Wait, what? You're a—what?"

She looked at him, her eyes serious. "I didn't even know. I thought it was just... instincts when I pushed Hewitt back earlier. But Jay... Jay told me about my Earth-2 counterpart, Nightingale. She has telekinetic abilities. And now it looks like I do too."

Barry's mouth dropped open slightly as he processed her words. "So you're telling me you have powers like—?"

"Like Nightingale," Emma confirmed, her gaze distant for a second. "Just not... as refined, I guess. I'm still figuring it out."

Barry shook his head in disbelief, a grin creeping onto his face. "That's so cool. I mean, you're a metahuman. And you can move stuff with your mind? That's amazing."

Emma smiled faintly, but there was still a hint of uncertainty in her expression. "It's... a lot to process. But yeah, when I was trying to flee from Hewitt with Caitlin and Jax, I—" She trailed off, thinking for a moment, then glanced down at the plate of food in front of her.

Barry was too caught up in her revelation to notice at first, but then he saw her focus on one of the egg rolls. He watched as she extended her hand slightly toward it, her fingers curling in a way that seemed almost instinctive.

And then, to his amazement, the eggroll lifted into the air and floated across the table, landing neatly on her plate with a soft thud.

Barry's jaw went slack. "Okay, wow. That was... awesome."

Emma chuckled, a little sheepish now, but still amused. "It's not exactly perfect. It's just... it feels like I'm moving something with my mind, but it's kind of like learning how to walk again. I don't have full control yet."

Barry, who had been eyeing the last eggroll on the plate with a hungry look, stared at it for a moment before sighing, resigned. "That's so cool. And I wanted the last eggroll," he muttered, glumly.

Emma raised an eyebrow, suppressing a laugh. "You snooze, you lose."

Barry chuckled, shaking his head in mock disbelief. "I swear, you just moved that with your mind to torment me. Well, I guess it worked." He leaned back, letting out a long, exaggerated sigh. "I'm still gonna claim that eggroll was mine."

Emma smirked and picked up the eggroll, tapping it lightly on her plate. "If you want it, come and take it," she teased, her eyes dancing with mischief.

Barry grinned, though it was clear he was only half-joking. "Okay, okay, I see how it is. You win the eggroll this time." He leaned back and picked up his drink, still looking at her with a mixture of admiration and awe. "Seriously though, that was amazing. You're gonna be unstoppable with those powers."

Emma's expression softened, the smile fading slightly as she set the eggroll down. "I'm not so sure about that," she said, her voice quieter now. "It's a lot to handle. And what if it gets out of control? What if I hurt someone?"
