As Senator Amidala's handmaiden, you've traveled the galaxy. On top of that, you've gotten to know the 501st pretty well. You're excited for your next mission with Padme. It's the annual Theed Gala on Naboo.

Your job is to escort the Senator and serve her during her time there. The best job in the world. Plus, General Skywalker is coming, along with Rex, Kix, Hardcase, Fives, and Tup.

Now, you're escorting Senator Amidala back to her place. The Gala went splendidly.

The land speeder whizzes past teal domed buildings as your hair blows in the wind. You glance to the front of the speeder, where General Skywalker and Senator Amidala talk in hushed tones. Behind you sits an annoyed Kix, who is smushed between Hardcase and Fives playing thumb wars. Besides you sits Tup and Rex.

You crane your head as Fives lets out a cheer, "You get a weeks worth of cleaning duty!"

"Rematch!" Hardcase yells. Kix rolls his eyes. You smile and glance over at Rex gazing out at the landscape. Your eyes wander to Tup right beside you. You lock eyes with him for a moment before he quickly looks down at his lap. His fingers intertwine with each other. You smile.

The speeder turns a corner and slows down. You can smell the ocean breeze. You watch the buildings pass you by as the speeder slows to a stop. Everyone gets out.

General Skywalker motions to his men, "Boys, this is a rare occasion. As our only night off, I suggest you get the rest and relaxation you need. Please don't bother me. And don't ruin the vacation house." He lazily salutes his men and wanders inside, following Padme.

You smirk to yourself knowingly. Being Padme's handmaiden comes with its own perks. You know everything about her personal life. You just hope the 501st doesn't do anything stupid to ruin their precious time together.

You wander inside, the 501st loudly following behind you.

"I call the top bunk!" Fives blurts out.

"We don't even know if there are bunks, Fives," Kix counters.

"I'm gonna stay up all night eating these," Hardcase eagerly pulls out a box of Nabooian donuts like a sugar addict. Fives' jaw drops as he lets out a breathless high-pitched squeal.

Hardcase and Fives run off with the box of donuts. Kix rolls his eyes and huffs, "I guess I better make sure they don't do anything stupid."

Rex follows Kix, "That's a two person job." Kix smirks at Rex as they follow Hardcase and Fives into another room.

You smile after them and head for your bedroom. You've been to this vacation house before. Maybe wearing some comfortable clothes and sitting out on the balcony sounds nice. You smile and change into a nightgown with light blue and white fabric. You put on a light gold and white robe on top and wander out to the main room of the house.

It's dark. You sigh peacefully and wander over to the sliding glass doors. The whole wall is lined with ceiling to floor windows. The fairy lights outside seem to glimmer in the moonlight. The door opens and closes behind you.

You breathe in the fresh, ocean air. The sound of small waves washing onto the shore reaches your ears. You smile at the small torches lining the balcony. The flames lick the cool air. You wander over to the rim of the balcony and look out onto the dark, peaceful ocean.

Someone coughs behind you. You turn around with a gasp. Tup slowly stands up from a bench with his fist in front of his mouth.

Your eyes widen as you look at Tup from head to toe. His hair reaches to his shoulders, being blown by the gentle breeze. You've never noticed the way his hair curls slightly. Your eyes wander down. He's wearing his blacks with only armor covering the bottom half of his body.

You turn to face Tup as he stands beside you, leaning on the balcony railing.

"It's peaceful out here," Tup says.

You nod in agreement, your back to the ocean but letting your elbows rest against the railing, "That's why I came out here."

Tup glances at you. His eyes flicker down for a moment before looking out at the ocean, "I like your dress."

You smile, appreciating his complement, "Thank you. It's a nightgown."

"Oh," Tup kneads his hands together as he stares out at the open ocean. The sound of gentle waves lapping against the shore fills your ears.

You turn around to look out at the ocean, too. Your mind races, 'What do I say to him? Ahh, I can't think of anything to say... I guess I'll wait for him to talk.'

Out of the corner of your eyes, you see Tup look down at his shaking hands, then back up at the ocean. 'Maybe he won't say anything first. Okay, here goes...'

"Did you enjoy the Gala?" You ask.

Tup's head sharply turns to face you, "I did. I've never been to something like that before."

"I like galas. Just seeing everyone dressed up and having fun is amazing," you gleam.

Tup's eyes stay locked on you, "Yeah. I've never seen people dress so fancy before. I wish I could go to another gala... and not as a trooper."

You turn your back to the ocean again, finding that putting your elbows on the railing is actually quite comfortable, "I wish I didn't have to work at a gala either. I'd pay to be able to spend the night on the dance floor."

"It was beautiful dancing," Tup adds.

You sigh and glance at Tup, "I wish I could waltz."

He stands up a little straighter, "You could learn."

You stare at the ground, "With who?"

Before you know it, Tup takes a step into your personal space. You gasp slightly, looking up into his face as his knee accidentally brushes against yours. Tup's arm snakes around your waist as you stumble back.

"We could learn together," Tup smiles down at you. You stare back, your voice caught in your throat. Tup's wavy hair gently blows past his face in the wind. You stare into his big, brown eyes, unable to look away.

He smiles at you as you let out a breathy, "That would be nice." Your hand and eyes wander to his elbow as you place your other hand on his shoulder. You let your fingers dance around lightly.

Tup takes another step closer to you. You can't help but gasp at how close he is. His hips glide against yours as he takes a step and spins you around slowly, "Something like this, right?"

Your eyes wander up to his face, the moonlight reflecting on his features perfectly. He lowers his cheek to yours and takes one hand in his, swaying with you in the gentle breeze. You close your eyes, breathing in his presence.

Tup's other hand wanders up your back as you sway together in one fluid movement. You press your cheek against his, eyes still closed. You whisper, "This is better than the waltz."

Tup smiles against your cheek and pulls back to look at you. You can't help but smile back, your arms loosely lingering around his shoulders. Tup slowly leans forward, his grip tightening around your waist as his other fingers brush past your cheek. Your eyes flutter closed at his touch.

Tup touches his forehead to yours, staying still. Your hands wander up the back of his neck, into his hair. Tup lets out a soft sigh. With your eyes closed, you smile and breathe in the scent of the nearby ocean, letting the peace of the moment fill your senses.

Tup's thumb wanders closer to your lips. You tilt your head in anticipation, the soft sound of crashing waves echoing in your ears. Fireworks erupt in your stomach as Tup's lips crash into yours. You let your fingers wander through Tup's hair as you kiss him back fervently.

Tup drags his thumb along your jawline, his lips gliding against yours. Your hands slide down the back of his neck and onto his chest as Tup breaks away. He pulls back to look at you, "So much better than dancing." You smile up at him.

Tup comfortably slides an arm around your waist as you both face the ocean. The moonlight glimmers along the waves, gently crashing onto the sand. You couldn't ask for a more perfect evening.
