" You didn't decided yet? " he asked.
Sita fumbled with her words and turned her look to Badra. " Stop doing friendship with him, Anna "
" Yes, a marriage would be great " Deva said.
Badra suppressed his laugh and grabbed the bag from her. Sita was shocked hearing to his sudden outburst.
" There are so many people here. Why don't you select one? " Sita said and walked away with her brother.
Deva chuckled.
" They don't have a brother like Badra. " He said.
" What? "
" Deva, stop it. Sita come let's go " he said and dragged her with him. Kala waved at Sita and left. Sita got onto the scooty and Badra started from there, Deva followed them and Sita glared at him as she sat to the side and Deva smiled at her. He followed them into Kabela and Deva left from there to Manvitta.
He parked his jeep outside and washed his legs before going inside, Gowri is walking inot the varanda and found Deva walking in, wiping his face with a towel.
" Came alone again? " she sighed.
Deva smiled and went for the water on the dining table. " You have to wait a little longer, Gowri " he said and drank some water.
" I have been waiting for 27 years. Show mercy on me " She pleaded and made her way to him.
" She has to complete her degree and get a nice job " He said.
" Oh, is it? " she mimicked. " Are there any women in our family who go and work outside?.. Why do we have to work by the way? " she asked him.
He made her sit on the chair. " Gowri, she is a girl with so many dreams and I can't stop her from reaching them. If you told me that you are going to do some milk business, I would encourage you. "
" Why would I do that business? " she asked him confused.
Deva sighed.
" She was an ambitious girl and it's her wish if she want to stay back home or go out for her dream. And I would encourage whatever she decides " he replied and leaned back straight.
" Try saying this to your father " she said.
" Like he is there with me in every decision " he mumbled. " Go and gee me a Pant and vest. I will go and take a bath " he said.
Gowri shook her head and went for his room.
Deva took a bath and sat down for dinner with Gowri. They talked for a while.
" You seem to have one more friend " she asked about Badra.
Deva nodded, " More than a friend, I never saw such person before "
" Is he from our comm- " Deva lifted his eyes at her didn't even completeing her word.
" When will you stop this rant, Gowri. Friendship doesn't any ties. And what is this community. What will you gain from it. We all are people. Remember "
She nodded and downed her head but lifted it quickly seeing his mood change.
" We are nearing to Pongal and we should invite the newly weds, Deva " Gowri said. He nodded chewing his food and adding some dal to his rice, he added to Gowri's too.
" I will inform Veda first thing in the morning and ask Kanakam to clean her room " he said with food stuffed in his cheek looking like a bubbly kid.
Gowri smiled at him and " My damn eyes, " she mumbled and moved her hands around his head taking of the sinful eyes on him. Seeing him so cute.
Deva chuckled.
" Do you want Valli too? " he asked.
Gowri eyes widened. " I wish that she should stay at her home but who knows what plans tomorrow have for us. " she said having her food.
" She would be a great company to you " He said drinking water.
" I will let her squueze the milk from the buffaloes, look " she said irritated.
" You only get a glass then " he said and she giggled. They sat there for some time and went for their respective rooms.
And called it a day.
