THE KNOT
A simple marriage!
In a temple!
" Okay " is what Deva replied when Sita said.
And he made it happen, Sita dressed in a saree after so many years. A white one with an embroidered blouse, simple hair style with four white garland falls. A long chain in her neck with a necklace.
As the tradition began with Deva with him bathing in the pond water in the temple and prayed to the live god, Sun and draped a white cotton-silk white dhoti with pattu lines and a border. With two layer gold chain around his neck making his looking more manly, chubby and cute.
Combing his hair back with his fingers and stepped up the stairs wrapping the white shawl around his torso. Directly walked into the temple and wiped the sacred powder on his forehead and prayed to the god. His men handed him the bananas and he went for the elephant ( Kannayya ) people respect and pray. When Kannayya saw Deva, he lifted his trunk and roared welcoming him with his two legs lifted in air. Deva smiled and rubbed his trunk, Kannayya wrapped his trunk around his torso and lured him with his sweet sounds. He fed him with whatever he wanted and no matter how much. He waited till he eat to his throat.
Kannayya dropped his trunk on his head and danced his head. He chuckled and Deva men took Kannayya to bless the groom too. And Deva next went for his horse he should ride on but he didn't wanted to ride it, instead he to adopt it.
On the other hand, a car stopped infront of the temple and little foot stepped down dressed in dhoti and white shirt just like his brother and a lovely hand held his hand holding the gold plate having the sacred thread with gold sutras. The resemblance of the sacred bond between a boy and a girl.
And their relatives heped them with the gifts for Sita walking behind her and Dheeraj. Gowri stepped down holding her gold crowned wooden stick and brought their family deity idol, lord Perumallu without her footwear and stepped up along with them holding him securely in her hands.
As Permallu comes with the bride and Padmavati comes with the groom. Obviously it was Badra who brings her. RC stood the presence of the deity and prayed before he get the garlands from the feet of god in the plate and walked out wrapping the red shawl around his bare chest.
And they arranged everything needed for the priest to start the sacred chants to make the red powder into the sacred one that holds the power of indian women and respect.
And our perfect indian women was all set to stand infront of her soon to be husband and down her head when he tie them up with the yellow woolen thread.
Her dark eye lashes danced before she look at herself in the mirror for one last time and feel the power of the her neck that hold so much responsibilities and her forehead that pray for her partner's health, the partition of her hair that make her married. Her hands that filled with bangles who stay with her in joy and pain. Her feet that holds the sacred rings to show the world that she is now a women with ten hands and is the goddess of her house.
The vibrance of her power lightened her face and a smile formed on her face when her family walked in with the Padmavathi idol. Her appearance matching the goddess is ready to go for her Permuallu.
And like satisifying the norm that animals sense the power of god and he kneeled when Sita walked out to him. Kannayya laid his trunk down and looked up at her.
She walked to him and touched his trunk, he slowly rose up and pulled the garland from the basket and dropped it on her. Roaring in air. Sita smiled and rubbed his trunk.
