Alice In Borderland (various x reader)

I let out a sharp gasp as my eyes flung open only to be met with blinding fluorescent light attacking my vision. I winced, clenching my eyes together as I tried to block the harsh sight out. Muffled noises sounded all around me but it was hard to differentiate what was happening.

What was going on?

Slowly I eased my eyes open once again. Blinking rapidly to avoid the pain from last time and as the scene around me slowly began to come into focus a seething pain overcame my body.

I cried out, my head being thrown back by the force of the agony that overcame me.

My head throbbed and an unrelenting stabbing feeling darted through my limbs making it hard to breathe. The ringing sound all around me however faded out and I could hear voices that soothed my stress.

"(name)! (name)!" screamed Usagi, she was frantically placing my head into her lap and off the counter they had placed me on.

After Mira had made her big speech, the group decided to wait for me to wake up before continuing on and so had cleared the desktops of computers and gently laid me to rest, Karube having taken off his jumper to act as a pillow beneath my head. Once I had finally shown signs of consciousness, they all panicked when my pained cries echoed throughout to chamber.

I snapped my eyes open, whimpers still dropping form my lips at the pain, but as I saw Usagi staring down at me with tears in her eyes, I slowed reached my hand up to cup her cheek.

"It hurts..." was all I managed to mumble as I slowly moved my gaze off Usagi and allowed it to roam around the room.

"I know angel..." hushed Karube, pushing Kunia to the side before grasping my hand off Usagi's cheek and gently squeezing it between his palms "but you have to push through... the games aren't over yet."

Tears had now slipped down my cheeks without me realising and I looked at the dishevelled appearances of all my friends who circled me and finally asked.

"What happened?"

Kuina, who had huffed and been glaring at Karube since he moved her away from (name), sprung forwards and instantly went into conversation, explaining the actions that had followed, from Chishiya finding (name) injured up until she woke up.

During the long explanation, Arisu had come to rest on the other side of (name) and had slowly been helping her to sit up, leaning heavily against Usagi albeit, but it was progress non the less. Now sandwiched between Arisu and Usagi, (name) rested her head on the latter's shoulder and shook her head.

"Of course there were face cards... I'm so stupid to believe the games would end after the 10 of hearts,"

I stared at my hands which were lay limp in my lap despite Arisu's loving grip on one of them.

I heard Chishiya grunt from beside the doorway, he was the only one not circling me and he wasn't even looking in my direction. Not that I minded this however as the attention from the four others was enough to make me squirm.

Finally, Chishiya spoke, "(name)... how did you get hurt?"

All the others turned their attention back onto me after this question and a chorus of agreements echoed around mem causing me to sigh out before mumbling, "I was pushed... out of window..."
