The Elements

Emily Grayson was a soon to be sixteen year old girl whose mother had an obsession with her daughters beauty. She would starve her and keep her locked in her room everyday, sometimes the girl would even faint from hunger and exhaustion, luckily never in school.
Since the weekend had already ended Emily texted Agatha to see if she wanted to walk to school with her. She said yes.
„What do you think about Simon and Daniel?" Agatha asked
„There decently nice, I don't really know them that much yet, but I thought it was nice when Simon gave me his food." She replied
„That was actually very odd. Simon loves food he doesn't really share half of what's on his plate with someone he just met." Agatha said
„Oh" Emily responded
„What's he usually like than?" Emily asked curiously
„Well I've only known the two of them for less than a week, but from what I know he's very honest, been through a lot of shit, decently nice but only to people he likes, protective and kind off aggressive." Agatha replied pausing and thinking about what to say
„That's still good though." Emily responded
„Well yeah, I guess so." She agreed
„I've never really had any friends before so it feels good to finally know somebody." Emily said
„It does. I've only been her for like a week but I feel like it's been more than a year." Agatha stated
„Yeah, I get that." Emily replied
„What are you going to do about your mom?" Agatha asked
„Well I've only got two more years left and I can leave." Emily replied
„Well yeah technically but she's starving you, you can't just wait." Agatha stated
„Well what else am I supposed to do?" She asked
„I don't know, go to the police or something?" Agatha responded
„I don't know either." She said
„Call child services." Agatha remarked
„I don't know, I'm honestly just to scared to do anything." Emily stated hesitantly
„That's fine, maybe just talk to someone about it, someone who can relate maybe." Agatha said
„Like, who?" Emily asked
„Maybe Simon?" Agatha said
„Maybe." Emily replied
The two of them walked the rest of the way to school together. They saw the boys sitting on a bench together, Daniel was looking around and Simon was sleeping.
„Is he asleep?" Agatha asked surprised
„Yeah, he fell asleep like 10 minutes ago and I didn't want to wake him." Daniel replied
„Oh, okay." Agatha said
„He looks like a puppy." Emily stated
„He is kind of like a dog." Daniel said
„Yeah, I guess so." Agatha remarked agreeing
„The bells going to ring in a minute." Emily said
„We should probably wake him up." Daniel said
„How? He sleeps like he's dead." Agatha stated
Emily tapped his cheek a couple times. Simon didn't even move.
„How did he even fall asleep?" She asked
„He said he was tired, he's a very sleepy person." Daniel remarked
„So how do we wake him up?" Agatha asked
„I don't know." Emily stated
„Slap him." Agatha said
„Punch him" Daniel proposed
„Kiss him"  Agatha remarked laughingly
„Pull his hair" Daniel said
„All of those seem like a bit to much." Emily replied
„I actually don't think he would mind you kissing him." Daniel stated
„Huh" Emily replied
„I'm bored." Agatha said. She walked up to Simon and slapped him.
„Oh shit." Emily responded
„How did he not wake up?" Daniel remarked
„Now I actually don't think he would notice you kissing him." Agatha said
Emily knelt next to him and started to play with his hair.
„Put a pen or pencil in his ear." Agatha said
„Maybe not." Emily replied. She put her hand on his arm and the other one on his neck.
„How romantic of you." Daniel said jokingly
Emily pressed her thumb hard into his neck.
„Ugh" Simon said
„Wow, you actually woke up." Agatha said surprised
„Well yeah" Simon replied
„Let's get to class." Daniel said
„Okay." Emily said, getting up.
They walked to class and after it finished they sat down together on the floor.
„I hate history." Simon remarked
„I love history." Emily replied
„I just don't like lessons at school." Agatha said
„Yeah." Daniel confirmed
„However I do like break time." Agatha stated „We should go swimming again." Daniel remarked randomly changing the topic
„Okay." Agatha said surprised
„My mom won't let me." Emily replied
„Sneak out." Simon remarked
„I don't know if that's a good idea." Emily said hesitantly
„Live a little." Simon replied
„She might do something to me." Emily said sadly
„Has she ever physically hurt you? Like cut you or hit you." Simon asked
„Well no." Emily responded
„She probably doesn't have the stomach for it." Simon stated 
„Probably." Emily said
„So the worst she can do is nothing, since she's already doing it." Simon replied
„Okay, then I'll sneak out." Emily said confidently
„Great" Agatha said happily
„I'm hungry" Emily said
„Not surprising." Daniel replied
Simon got up and wandered of. 
„What the hell." Daniel said
„That's weird." Agatha stated
„I think he'll come back." Emily remarked
After about three minutes Simon came back, sat down and pulled a candy bar out of his pocket and then handed it to Emily.
„Oh, thanks." She responded
„Huh." Daniel said
„I did not expect that." Agatha stated
Emily ate the candy bar and threw the wrapper away. They got up and started walking to their next class however something unexpected happened.
„I don't feel good." Emily said
„What do you mean?" Simon asked
Daniel noticed her eyelids started to drop and then close and immediately knew what was about to happen.
„Simon catch her." He said loudly while Emily started to tilt Simons way.
She fell onto him and he caught her mid fall.
„Shit!" Simon said
The four of them went to the nurses office while Simon was holding Emily. 
„Hello, our friend fainted." Agatha stated, not really knowing how to say that without it sounding weird.
„Oh. Well lay her down here." The nurse said surprised
Simon put her on a bed. And they moved aside
„Don't worry, she'll wake up later. She probably just passed out." The nurse said calmly
„You three go back to your classes." She added
„Alright" the three of them said
After class finished they went back to the nurses office to see if Emily was awake. She was.
„Hello." Simon said after he followed Agatha and Daniel to the nurses office
„Hi." Emily replied
„So, that was interesting." Agatha said
„Yeah, that happens sometimes. I think it's because of hunger and exhaustion or something." Emily responded
„Thats bad." Daniel stated
„Yeah." Emily remarked not really knowing what to say
„Anyway, are you staying here or going to class now?" Simon asked
„I don't know really, I still feel a bit weird so I might stay here another period and go after that." Emily said
„Okay." He replied slightly disappointed
„My mom isn't going to be very happy when she finds out I passed out in school." Emily said
„Well, yeah probably." Simon responded
She led down on her side and yawned.
„Tired?" Simon said
„Yeah." Emily remarked
„Then sleep. You've got like fifty minutes to yourself." Simon stated
„Okay." Emily replied while closing her eyes. Daniel and Agatha looked at each other bored. 
„We should probably get to class soon." Daniel said
„Yeah." Agatha replied agreeing
The three of them left the nurses office and made they're way to English class.
After class they went back to the nurses office to get Emily, but she was still asleep."
„We need to wake her up in a minute." Daniel stated
„we've still got half an hour, so wake her in like twenty minutes." Agatha said
„She looks so peaceful." Simon remarked
„I guess so." Agatha replied not knowing what to say
„I hope she doesn't sleep like you or else we won't be able to wake her up." Daniel said to Simon
„Yeah." Simon responded laughingly
Emily moaned and turned in her sleep.
„I wonder if she's dreaming about something." Simon said
„Maybe." Agatha replied
„Probably." Daniel remarked
„If she is, what do you think she's dreaming about?"
„Some people." Agatha said
„Avocados." Daniel stated
„What, why?" Simon asked
„Just because." Daniel remarked
„Okay." Simon replied
Around fifteen minutes later they started to wake Emily up.
„How do you wake someone up?" Simon asked
„I don't know." Agatha said
Simon lifted Emily's hand and started shaking it. She pulled her hand away and turned around.
„I've got an idea." Simon stated
„Okay then." Agatha said
Simon put his hands around Emily's lower rib cage, picked her up and then stood her on the ground.
„What the hell." Emily said
„We need to go to class in like five or ten minutes." Daniel remarked
„Oh, okay." Emily replied
„Feeling better?" Simon asked
„Yeah." Emily responded
„Good." He stated
They got up and started to walk to their physics class. After it finished they went to lunch.
The four of them got lunch and sat down at a table.
„I was thinking about my mom, and what if I just eat? Like what can she do? I'll try to talk some sense into her after school."
„Okay." Agatha said
„You should come with me cuz I've got an idea." Emily remarked to Agatha
„Sure." Agatha replied gladly
The four of them talked for the rest of lunch. Emily only ate half her lunch so Simon ate the other half.
After school had ended the four of them hanged out behind the school and then they all walked home. Emily and Agatha walked to Emily's house and knocked on the door, after they heard her mom telling them to come in they slowly opened the door together and started to walk into Emily's house.
„Hi mom." Emily said
„Hello, who's your friend?" Her mom asked
„This is Agatha and don't worry she won't be here long." Emily replied
„Okay?" Her mom responded confused as to what was going on
„Tell me mother, do you think that Agatha here is pretty?" Emily asked
„What?" She replied confused
„Do you think that she is good looking?" Emily repeated
„What are you doing?" Her mom said
„It's a simple yes or no question. Just answer." Emily stated
„Well I mean yeah, she's very pretty." She answered honestly, still confused
„Well you know what? Her mom doesn't fucking starve her." Emily remarked, louder than earlier
„Excuse me?" Her mom said
„You heard me. You're not going to starve me anymore." Emily stated confidently knowing that she wasn't going to take no as an answer
„Yeah, no. You're my child and I can do whatever I like to you." She replied
„Yeah, but what your doing is illegal." Emily said
„Huh." Her mom responded
„I am not asking you to stop. I am telling you that I have the right to eat. And that you physically can't stop me from doing so." Emily remarked
„Okay then. But don't come crying back to me when you start to hate your body." She replied
„Okay then. Oh and also, you can't keep me here, locked in a room so I'm going out. Bye." Emily added
„Okay then." Her mom said frustrated
The two of them walked out the door and left.
„That was interesting." Agatha stated surprised
„Thank you." Emily replied
„your welcome." Agatha responded
„I honestly thought that, that would be harder." Emily remarked
„Yeah, me too." Agatha said
„The truth is that she, literally can't control what I do." Emily stated
„Yes, exactly." Agatha replied to her
„Im very proud of myself." Emily said
„Im proud of you too. Why don't we go get the guys, and we can go swimming in this lake not far from here." Agatha suggested
„Sure." Emily said happily
Agatha sent a text into the group chat which said that her and Emily were going to the lake and that they should join them. Both of the guys agreed. Emily and Agatha started to walk to the lake. When they got there they noticed that Simon and Daniel were already waiting for them.
„You got here fast." Agatha stated
„We did." Daniel replied
„We've got like five hours before it gets dark so let's go to the store later." Simon suggested
„Okay." Emily said
They all sat on the big log and talked for a while.
„Let's go swimming again." Agatha said
„I'm not sure." Simon replied
„I'm down." Agatha and Daniel said
„Why not?" Emily asked Simon
„Is this about your scars?" Daniel asked
„Maybe." Simon stated uncomfortably
„What?" Emily asked
Simon sighed
„Like I said last time we were here, I have over fifty scars on my torso from when I lived with my parents." Simon remarked
„Oh. Well that's fine." Emily said
„Well then sure, I guess." Simon replied
„Yay." Agatha said while getting undressed
„If it makes you feel any better I am also insecure about my body. Just for a different reason." Emily said hesitantly
Simon looked her up and down.
„Why?" He asked
„I'm kind of skinny from my mom starving me and I just don't like it." Emily replied
„Oh." Simon said
Agatha was already undressed when she had an idea. She looked at Daniel.
„You know what would make things more interesting?" Agatha said happily
„What?" Daniel asked while taking his shirt off
Agatha climbed onto the log behind Daniel and sat on his shoulders. Since he didn't want to accidentally knock her of he froze. Simon and Emily laughed. When Agatha was already comfortably sat on Daniels shoulders he looked around.
„Well this does, certainly make things more interesting." Daniel said
„I know, thank you." Agatha replied laughingly
Daniel carefully took his pants off while Agatha held onto his head. She turned her head in Simons and Emily's direction as if she was expecting something.
„Oh." Simon said, realising what she wanted them to do, Emily realised to. He turned around and looked at Emily.
„I'm down if you are." She said
„Sure." Simon stated
Emily climbed onto the log and Simon took his shirt off. She looked at him from above only seeing the scars on his back and shoulders.
She got undressed leaving herself just in her underwear and climbed onto Simons shoulders. Simon took his pants off while Emily was holding on by his chin and jawline.
Daniel started to walk towards the water and Simon did the same walking alongside him.
„Hey, can you stop for a minute?" Emily asked
„Of course." Simon replied
„Thanks." She said while letting her hands go and tying her thick curly hair into a messy bun.
„Okay, you can go now." Emily said
„Okay." He responded while walking further into the water.
„It's so pretty here." She said
„It is." Simon stated. Daniel and Agatha were already standing further in the water.
Emily put her hand in Simons hair and played with his hair while scratching the edge of his sharp jawline with her other hand.
„That's nice." He said slightly embarrassed
„Yeah?" She replied
„Yeah." He responded.
Emily just realised that she had put her safety in another persons hands, whom she had only met a couple days ago but felt that she could trust. The two of them stood next to Agatha and Daniel, the water was up to the guys mid chest and the girls legs where in the water.
„Daniel." Agatha said
„What?" Daniel asked
„Hold your breath." She replied
„Why?" He asked again
„Just do it." She remarked
Daniel sucked in air through his mouth. Agatha held his face and fell back making sure that he would to. Emily opened her mouth in shock.
Agatha and Daniel came out of the water and laughed.
„That was very unexpected." Daniel said
„I know that's why I did it." She said laughingly
Agatha looked at Emily.
„Yeah, no, I'd rather not." She said
„Why not?" Agatha asked
„We might land on a rock or something I do t want to." She replied
„Okay then." Agatha stated
Simon let go of Emily's legs and gently grabbed her waist.
„What are you doing?" She asked
„putting you in the water." He said
He lifted her up with ease and slowly lowered her down.
„Thank you." She said grateful that he didn't just throw her in the water
„Your welcome." He said
„What do we do now?" Daniel asked
„I've got an idea." Agatha said
„You have a lot of ideas." Simon said
„Let's play truth or dare." She said
„I'm fine with that." Daniel said
„Me too." Emily and Simon stated
„Okay then let's play." Agatha said
„Okay." Emily said
„Simon, truth or dare." Daniel started
„Truth." He replied
„Okay, umm, have you ever had a girlfriend before?" Daniel said
„Starting of strong." Agatha said happily
„No." Simon stated
The three of the others had surprised looks on there faces.
„What?" Simon said
„Nothing." Agatha said
„It's just that, your a decently good looking person so it's surprising." Daniel said
„Oh, thank you?" Simon replied not knowing what to say
„Ok, next. Daniel, truth or dare?" Agatha asked
„Truth." Daniel replied
„Okay then, have you ever kissed anyone?" Agatha asked
„Yes." Daniel said shortly
They all looked at him expecting more.
„I used to have a girlfriend before me and my dad moved here, I was like fourteen." Daniel said
„Okay." Agatha said
„Anyway, Agatha truth or dare?" Simon asked
„Dare." She stated
„I dare you to climb onto Daniel and try to hold on for as long as possible." Simon Said
„Alright." Agatha replied
Daniel stood straight and Agatha got behind him and grabbed his shoulders while pressing her feet against his back, she put her feet around his waist and arms around his neck and held on to him.
„If I had my phone I would take a photo of this." Emily said
„Live in the moment." Daniel replied jokingly
Agatha fell off of Daniel into the water.
When she got back up she started laughing.
„Okay, anyway, Emily truth or dare?" Agatha asked
„Truth." Agatha stated
„I'm going to repeat the last question, have you ever kissed anyone?" She asked
„No, I have not, since I've been grounded for the last seven years of my life." Emily replied
„Well yeah that makes sense." Agatha said
That played a couple more rounds, got out of the water and dried of a bit.
„I'm hungry." Simon said
„No surprise there." Daniel said
„We should go to the store soon. Just maybe stick together this time." Agatha remarked
„Yeah." Daniel responded
Simon put his baggy jeans back on and sat down on the log next to Daniel. They heard a phone ringing.
„My brothers calling me." Agatha said surprised
„You have a brother?" The three of them said even more surprised
„Yeah." She replied
Agatha and her brother whose name is James talked for a couple seconds. Emily, Simon and Daniel then found out that it was a butt dial.
„Why don't we get dressed and go to the store?" Emily proposed
„Sure." Daniel said
They all got dressed grabbed their stuff and started to walk towards the store. As that walked in Simon saw his aunt and sister at the checkout.
„Shit, that's my aunt and sister." He said
„We should go say hi!" Agatha said
„Why?" Simon asked
„Why not?" Daniel replied
„Because." Simon said
„Fine, let's go get some food then." Daniel remarked
„Food." Emily said happily
They got four mini pizzas, a fruit salad and a carton of orange juice. As they were walking Emily dropped a bombshell on them.
„I've never had a pizza before." She said
„Well that's just unbelievable." Daniel said
„Yeah." Agatha agreed. Simon was too stunned to speak.

The four of them spent the rest of the evening together and then walked home in the dark.
