«The day arrived, a milestone bright,
A journey complete,
with futures in sight.

Hearts once uncertain,
now boldly declare,
Love's quiet promise,
a life they'll share»

It was finally Lan Wangji's graduation day. He'd made it through three years of high school, and now here he was, standing tall and composed in his graduation robes, -or at least trying to, but inside, his heart was doing flips. His family was all there: his father, mother, and older brother Xichen, looking proud as ever.

What Lan Wangji didn't expect was to see the Wei family there too. And not just any Wei family member-Wei Wúxiàn was there.

And oh my god, he looked like trouble wrapped in charm. Dressed in a sharp black suit, with his usual carefree grin and those eyes that seemed to see straight into his soul, He looked... well, unfairly handsome. The kind of handsome that made people stop and stare.

Wei Wúxiàn looked like he walked straight out of his dream. A dangerously handsome dream.

Lan Wangji swallowed hard. His heart was racing, and he wasn't sure if it was because of the graduation or because of Wei Wúxiàn's presence..

After Wangji's confession and year ago, he thought he'd lost all hope. Wei Wúxiàn hadn't said yes, but he hadn't said no either. He'd just gone quiet. For weeks, there was no contact, and Wangji had resigned himself to heartbreak.

Then, out of nowhere, a simple "hi" popped up on his phone. Just two letters, but they lit up Wangji's entire world. That was all it took for the flood of butterflies to fill fis stomach and a spark of hope to filled him.

That "hi" turned into late-night texts, which turned into long phone calls. Wangji lived for those moments when he could hear Wei Wúxiàn's voice.

Wangji never brought up the confession again. He didn't want to risk scaring Wei Wúxiàn away. But every time they talked, every laugh, every word, made him fall even harder.

And then there was that kiss. That kiss. Wei Wúxiàn had kissed him out of nowhere and then bolted, leaving Wangji in a daze. He'd spent hours after that, lying in his bed, replaying it over and over. He didn't ask for clarification or press for answers. He was giving Wei Wúxiàn the space to figure things out.

But today... seeing Wei Wúxiàn here, looking like that?

Lan Wangji was doing his best to focus on the ceremony, but how could he? His gaze kept drifting to Wei Wúxiàn.

Does he have to look this good? Wangji thought, half happy and half fuming. How could someone look so perfect and not even realize it?

After the ceremony, while everyone was congratulating the graduates, Wei Wúxiàn caught Wangji's arm and pulled him away, ignoring the curious stares of their families.

"Come with me," Wei Wúxiàn said, dragging him toward the school's quiet backyard.

Wangji didn't resist, though his heart was hammering in his chest. When they stopped, Wei Wúxiàn turned to him, his usual smirk replaced by something softer, more serious.

"Lan Zhan... do you still love me?" Wei Wúxiàn asked, his voice quiet but steady.

Lan Wangji didn't even hesitate. "Yes."

Wei Wúxiàn exhaled, as if he'd been holding his breath. Then, before Wangji could say anything else, he continued. "I've been thinking... a lot. About you, about us. And I realized something."

Lan Wangji waited, his hands clenched at his sides.

Wei Wúxiàn smiled, a little nervous but full of affection. "I like you, Lan Zhan. No, scratch that-I love you. I don't know when it happened, but I can't imagine my life without you anymore."
