No String's On Me

Perfect Omega

           I stopped working again carefully setting my tools down and taking off my magnifying glasses. I turned in the chair to face Papa. "A proper omega sits quietly by the side of first their family then their alpha or beta. A proper omega keeps a perfect smile and disposition at all times. A proper omega has no need for magic, emotions, or thinking. The most proper omega will not think of anything other then their role. A proper omega's role is to bring new lives into the world." I tipped my head only slightly. "I am only trying to correct my behavior to that which it is supposed to be Papa. I will be a proper omega like you want. I'll make you proud. I promise I will Papa." I forced my face to contort into a smile. Before standing up to head for the kitchen.

         I moved past them just as the books say quiet, gentle, graceful small steps. Upon reaching the kitchen I looked right at Kretcher arching an eyebrow in question of my performance. He smirked at me. He gave me a thumbs up as he spoke. "What shall we be making for lunch master?" Hearing a small bit of ruckus outside I pause to listen.

           I heard Daddy, Papa, and Draco telling someone everything that had happened since after the meeting. "I... I'll  talk to him." I heard Tom say. Not waiting I turned back to Kretcher with a smirk.

         Kretcher smirked back at me. "As I must no longer involve myself in things such as hobbies I must ask you to find out about meal preference from Dobby and Winky." I heard the door open softly behind me at this point. "After all, a proper omega does not partake in such trivial things as hobbies or personal desires. I want to be a proper omega so I am not an embarrassment to Daddy, Papa, Draco, or whoever my alpha is." I looked at my feet letting my face fall to sadness. As I felt someone moving to my side.

       Kretcher cleared his throat in false warning. I turned my head up. Quickly putting the doll face back on. And trying to go back to the vacant sight. I turned till I saw the blurry image of Tom. I curtsyed to him before making to leave. But he stopped me with a hand on my arm gently. "Little snape, I've heard about the changes. But what I'm seeing is just... Harry stop pretending I didn't mean for this." I didn't  let him finish.

           "I apologize to an alpha. But as I am an unmated omega I cannot be in here alone with you. It breaks the omega's proprietary rules." I gave another soft curtsy after I pried his hand off my arm. Leaving without ever raising my voice. If I wasn't purposely not seeing properly I'd have seen the hurt and pain on all their face's.

            I continued this way until the second task of the tournament. I put a form fitting body suit on beneath what I was told I had to wear for the task. And headed down. Stopping only to inform Daddy I would succeed at the task so he would not be disappointed. I had planed it properly this time I would freeze the water to a thickness safe to walk on before walking to the middle of the lake. Then I'd transfigure the ice into a dry underwater box. Before forcing it to sink. This may well be the last time I ever get to use magic at this rate. The harnesses were completed. And they still had not apologized to me.

          I stood facing the lake barely listening until the cannon went off. I heard the others dive in looking to make sure they were completely submerged before I began my spellwork. As I carefully lowered myself from the dock onto the ice. I made eye contact with Tom in the crowd. It was only a for a moment but I saw the sleepless nights he'd had. The worry I had caused him. But just couldn't go back now.

          I turned to head out continually casting to ensure my path didn't engulf the whole lake while also being sure it was thick enough to walk on. I of course had gotten my wand from the table for the task but had no intention of hanging onto it despite how good it felt to do magic again. Once at the center of the lake I turned to face the crowd. Then I began to transfigure the ice I had made with a long enchantment. Focusing solely on wrapping the ice up into a perfectly formed cube using more water to freeze onto the corners allowing it to make pretty patterns on the edges taking a calming breath I began to sink the cube into the depths of the lake.

         I saw krum go swim around me in shark form. Flur did a twirl infront of me. Smiling and waving before going into a slight dive. Cedric gave a nod as he approached as I got nearly to the place where the captives were held. I watched as each of the others took there people up. Before I spelled an arm of ice to lash out and cut Lunas rope. She began to Bob gently towards the surface. I summoned her to the cube before I had the ice arm cradle her there. The slowly made our way to the surface and floated us in the direction of the stands coming up.

      After we emerged I set to dropping three of the walls directly into the water before twisting the other about and taking Luna even as that wall dropped off. I spelled her dry before I began to spell our way back even making ice stairs for her to use. The crowd was loud and rambunctious. As bagman gave the points krum in first place flur second the Cedric third and me in forth. I didn't bother looking at anyone as I turned and went back to the castle. But soon I felt myself yanked Unceremoniously into an outcropping that was rather dence.
