Louise spent the next few days in a whirlwind of emotions. The dream she had seen during Horace's projection lingered in her mind, vivid and unshakable. She and Enoch were going to kiss,it was clear as day. But the dream had ended before it could happen, leaving her confused and yearning.

She spent more and more time in the greenhouse, speaking to Victor's presence. The children no longer minded her talking with the invisible, and she no longer felt the need to hide it from them. She stood close to Victor, her voice low but steady as she confessed her thoughts.

"I don't know what to do about Enoch," she said, her hands clasped nervously in front of her. "I like him, Victor. Really, I do. But... I'm not sure how he feels about me."
Victor's answered rather rapidly, still pacing around the room. "well,Enoch has his ways,I'm sure he loves you I've seen it". She then brought up Bronwyn's drawings.

"I've been thinking about telling them, about telling Miss Peregrine," she admitted, pacing slightly. "She deserves to know you're still here, especially brownyn, you think it's a good idea?."

Victor answered back. "Actually it could be a great idea you know,if you're ready then I am." He smiled at her.

Her cheeks flushed at the thoughts.

"I've seen the countless nights he stayed up making your gifts," Victor said. "I watched him sculpt every homunculus and research flowers just to make you smile. He even came into your room once, just to see what books you were reading while you were not there." Victor added.

Louise's heart swelled at the thought. She looked at Victor with wide eyes, still processing what he'd said.

"You've been watching him?" she murmured to Victor. The butterflies in her stomach multiplied, but she managed to push them aside for the time being.
He looked up at her,and nodded.
She left the greenhouse not long after, her mind buzzing with thoughts of Enoch and Victor. She was happy he was this supportive with her.

Miss Peregrine hadn't called on her much lately. Since Miss Avocet's passing, she had spent most of her time in her office, emerging only for meals or to tend to the children. Still, her recovery was evident, her usual sharpness and warmth were slowly returning. Louise found herself helping out more, spending her time with Claire, Bronwyn, and occasionally Olive, baking biscuits or making tea.

Jake returned to the loop after some time away, only to be greeted by a bucket of cold water, courtesy of Millard and Hugh. The prank sent the entire house into peals of laughter, with Bronwyn and Fiona practically screaming with joy. Even Louise couldn't help but laugh as Jake sputtered, soaked and bewildered. From afar, she noticed Victor watching the scene silently.

Emma, though amused, still seemed weighed down by her unresolved feelings about Jake. Louise chose not to pry as Emma and Jake disappeared into her room to talk.

Later that evening, Louise returned to her room and settled down with a book. It was the one she had bought during a recent trip to town, and it had her completely engrossed. Still, another book,a gift from Enoch-sat on her desk, waiting for her. She couldn't help but think about him as she read.

A knock at her door broke her concentration. She opened it to find Olive standing there, her cheerful smile lighting up the hallway.

"Hi!" Olive chirped.

"Hey, Olive," Louise replied, surprised but pleased by the visit.

"I just wanted to talk," Olive said, stepping inside.
