I opened up my eyes and stared out at the crazy party going on below me. Below me as in there was a huge grand staircase directly in front of the elevator. The other three girls stepped out, Wanda grabbing my hand as she did so.

"Martinis on me." Nat sauntered to the bar in her black body-con dress. Damn... She paid for the drinks and handed them to us.

Wanda was dressed the opposite of Nat in a knee-length frilly red dress. Vision quickly found her and hovered creepily by her side the whole time while observing.

And then Pepper was fabulous as ever in a power suit. She managed to drift away from Wanda, Nat, and I to stand with Stark. Talk about a power couple.

While Wanda was talking with Vision, and Nat was talking with Bruce about meditation methods or whatever, I was left to my own thoughts. I suppose the Avengers weren't all that bad when they weren't off fighting crazy amounts of crime. They were simply people. Granted, none of them were the stereotypical standard of 'normal'. Neither was I.

I sat myself at the bar, staring at my drink. I couldn't get drunk. It was in my DNA that no human drink could ever affect my system. I sipped it, watching the olive bobble in the liquid.

"Bored, Lady Y/N?"

I flinch at the sound of Thor's voice from behind me. He sat himself to my left, placing his giant tankard on the bar counter.

I watch his drink automatically refill to the brim. "A bit, yes."

"Understandable. I was very confused when I first came to Earth as well. It seems Loki is still bored with the festivities." He sipped his beer, staring out past the rim of his glass.

I follow his off gaze, seeing Loki standing in the corner. He was dressed in his usual black suit, though his shoes seemed to shine a bit brighter, and his hair was less slicked back. Instead. it curled, a lock falling perfectly in front of his baby blue eyes. "Why do you think he's bored?" I keep my eyes locked on the mischievous God.

"He's not usually bored. Since that Oreo incident."

I grin at the reminder. "Glad I was entertaining."

This earns a boisterous laugh from him. "Indeed. He's never been a fan of crowds. Unless the attention is on him, obviously," Thor scoffs.

I take a drink from my martini.

"You know, he seems to be intrigued by you, Lady Y/N."

I paused and put down my drink. Intrigued? By me? Of all people, I'm the fascinating one? Odd. "Me?"

"Yes. Not sure why, though."

I look back at Loki, who glares at anyone even sneaking a glance at him. And those who dare hold a stare back down quickly. Though, I understand why people would stare. He had decided to blow up most of New York a few years back. I had heard about it on the tiny screen in the cafeteria back at Hydra headquarters. Everyone was cheering for him to defeat the newly formed Avengers. I didn't really care about who won. I wasn't the one winning, so why should I cheer? "Hm."

"You should go talk to him," Thor suggests.

"No."

His smirk turns into a prominent frown. "Why not?"

I wanted to say that it was because he doesn't like me, but that requires an explanation that I didn't want to give. "Because."

Thor grumbles, chugging down half of his drink only for it to immediately refill itself once more. "Very well."

I sigh. Seeing Steve sad was one thing, he was usually disappointed anyway. But seeing Thor be sad? The usual jolly man with an unusual love for pop tarts? Sad? That made my heart pang in ways I didn't know it could. "What does he drink?"
