THE DORM WAS CHAOTIC, with Rowan's wardrobe strewn across her bed like the aftermath of a hurricane. Rowan stood in the middle of it, hands on her hips, staring at the mess with exasperation.

"I have nothing to wear," she groaned, tossing another top onto the growing pile.

Tatum, who was slouched against the doorframe with his arms crossed, raised an eyebrow. "You've literally been standing there for twenty minutes saying that. Just pick something and move on. It's not that deep."

Rowan shot him a glare. "That's easy for you to say. You're not the one who has to sit in the audience with Min Ho looking like he stepped out of a magazine."

"True," Tatum admitted, smirking. "But also, who cares? It's just a talent show."

Before Rowan could retort, the door opened, and Min Ho walked in, dressed to the nines in a sleek blazer and tailored slacks. He looked immaculate, as always, and he was clearly aware of it.

"Just a talent show?" Min Ho repeated, looking offended as he placed a hand over his chest. "Tatum, this is an event. Everyone is going to be there."

     Tatum rolled his eyes. "And?"

"And," Min Ho continued, with a flourish of his hand, "it's important to present yourself as the best version of you. Impressions last, Tatum." He paused, eyeing Rowan's pile of discarded clothes. "Which is why Rowan is currently spiraling."

"I'm not spiraling," Rowan said defensively. "I'm...overwhelmed."

Min Ho walked over to her bed and surveyed the mess. "Obviously. You can't pair any of this with your complexion." He picked up a floral blouse and grimaced. "Did this offend you somehow? Is that why it's here?"

Rowan snatched the blouse from his hands. "I don't need your commentary. If you're so good at this, you pick something for me."

Min Ho's face lit up like a kid in a candy store. "Finally, someone acknowledges my expertise." He began rummaging through her clothes with a level of precision and focus that made Rowan and Tatum exchange glances.

"Great," Tatum muttered, leaning against the wall. "Now we're never going to leave."

"I heard that," Min Ho said without looking up.

"Will you two stop bickering?" Rowan interjected. "I don't have all night."

Min Ho held up a sleek black dress and turned to her with a triumphant expression. "This. This is it. Timeless, elegant, and effortlessly chic—just like you."

Rowan raised an eyebrow. "You really think that'll work?"

"Of course," Min Ho said, looking mildly offended. "I'm a professional."

Tatum snorted. "Professional at being insufferable, maybe."

Min Ho smirked at him. "Call it what you want, but Rowan likes it."

Rowan rolled her eyes but took the dress from him. "Fine. I'll try it. But if I hate it, you're both to blame." She disappeared into the bathroom to change.

As soon as the door closed, Tatum turned to Min Ho. "You're laying it on pretty thick, don't you think?"

Min Ho shrugged, smoothing an invisible wrinkle on his blazer. "What can I say? I know what she likes."

"You're impossible," Tatum said, shaking his head. "I don't even know how she puts up with you."

"Jealousy doesn't suit you, Reed," Min Ho replied, grinning.
