Hacking..? ★ [ZB1]

It took a lot of waiting but Sunday finally rolled in, the 20th of May. Gyuvin spent his whole weekend planning his first date with Ricky thoroughly, wanting to impress the other. Even though they're literally best friends who have known each other for 8 years, this is still their first ever date as boyfriends.

During that party, when they were playing truth or dare and Gyuvin had been challenged to kiss whoever he had been wanting to kiss, he contemplated on his spot whether to do it or gulp down a shitty soda that he himself brought to the circle. Seems like he did dig his own grave with that because ain't no way he was gonna drink that awful soda.

And so, with everyone's eyes on him with anticipation, he stood up on both of his feet and slowly dragged them with him as he inched closer towards Ricky. The boy in question just stared at him confusedly but didn't move an inch, even when Gyuvin dropped on his knees to face him eye to eye and slowly leaned closer.

Ricky stayed on his spot without moving a muscle, closing his eyes to enjoy the brief kiss from Gyuvin. He was surprised, of course, but decided to not show it. After Gyuvin broke away the kiss with Ricky, the two looked at each other in the eyes, signalling that they'll have to talk about it later but at that moment, Gyuvin just stood up again and walked back to his previous spot while their other friends watched him with widened eyes.

A long silence followed, not one even expected to see the infamous two best friend who had always been inseparable kissed each other until one of Gyuvin's younger brother faked a gagged.

"I'm telling mom on this. You kissed someone hyung," his brother said, pointing a finger to him while making a face. Gyuvin sighed and put down the finger, giving a look that his only his siblings understand.

An older sibling advantage I suppose.

And with that, they began their game once again, acting like nothing had ever happened.

A few moments later, while their other friends were busy on their phone, Gyuvin and Ricky shared a look that made the two of them stood up and walked away from the backyard. They managed to get away without anyone else questioning them as they were too busy gossiping in the group chat.

"So, would you like to explain? I'll give you a moment," Ricky said first thing as they hid behind some walls separating them from the backyard, hidden on the side of the house.

Gyuvin fidgeted with his fingers, gulping down his saliva as he tried to process his words and Ricky patiently waited for him until he was ready to speak up again.

"I like you." He managed to uttered out with a shaky breath, his hands grasping each other even tighter as his head hang low in between his shoulder.

"That's it? Took you 5 minutes to say three words?" Ricky teased, half smirking as he stuffed his hands in his pocket trying to act cool despite the burning sensation slowly rising on his cheek.

"I-I.. I really like you Ricky. I know we've been friends for so long and I feel like betraying our friendship by confessing my feelings like this but I.. I really, really like you.." Gyuvin stuttered out. He felt like his whole body was burning with embarrassment as he continue to spill word after word.

Then, he heard Ricky chuckled and that made him shut his eyes tightly, already expecting the worst.

"Idiot, why would you feel like that. We're not some middle schoolers or anything. Well, I do have to say I feel a bit honoured to be the one you like. Why didn't you tell me sooner?" Ricky said in his usual calm tones, still looking at Gyuvin even though the other had his head hang low.

"When you rejected everyone else so harshly, I couldn't help but to feel happy inside, knowing that you were still available. But then, some voices kept telling me that one day, those people could be me. I could be the one whom you'll reject so harshly and that got me afraid. I didn't want to ruin our friendship over my stupid feelings." By the end of his sentences, his voice slowly got lower and lower.
