Juho’s voice wavered as he continued, his words heavy with regret. "I don’t know how, but they found Hyung and Noona... and they killed them. I tried my best to protect them, but I failed. I thought I lost you too." He sighed, his eyes filled with a mixture of sadness and determination. "But then, a few days ago, I saw you at the beach with your husband. My men told me you were Jeon Jungkook... my son. I was so happy to find you, but first, I needed to take care of my enemies. I found out from them that they had also threatened the woman you were living with." He paused, his tone turning more serious. "I kidnapped you because I knew your husband would never let me near you, so I had no choice."
Jungkook’s tears flowed uncontrollably as he listened to Juho’s words. The weight of everything was crashing down on him.
Juho gently continued, his voice softer now. "Please don’t hate your parents. They’ve always loved you like their own son. They never tried for another child because they wanted to give all their attention to you. They loved Hana like a sister, and they wanted your safety. At some point, they were right, too... I was a threat to your life. I was, and still am, surrounded by enemies. They just wanted you to live a normal life."
Jungkook sniffled, his emotions a mess, but Juho wasn’t done. "Now, you must be thinking, why am I telling you all this now? Because back then, I was helpless. I was just starting out in this life and couldn’t protect you. But now, I can. I can protect you... I can't walk away from this life. It’s a part of me now."
Juho slowly walked toward Jungkook, his hands trembling slightly as he untied the ropes around Jungkook’s wrists. Jungkook looked at him with tear-streaked eyes, still processing everything.
Juho looked at him, his expression softening as he spoke again. "Your eyes, Jungkook... they’re just like Hana’s. Her eyes used to hold the whole galaxy in them." He paused, his voice thick with emotion. "And your smile... it's the same as hers, like a little bunny. I only have one picture of you, from the day you were born. I survived all these years because of that picture, and because of Hana’s memories." He gently placed a hand on Jungkook’s shoulder. "Trust me, son. I’m not lying."
Without a word, Jungkook suddenly threw his arms around his father, burying his face in Juho’s chest as he cried. Juho held him tight, tears falling from his own eyes as he returned the embrace.
Jungkook’s voice came out shaky but full of conviction. "I believe you."
Before either of them could say anything else, the door swung open with a loud thud. Taehyung stormed in, his face a mask of concern.
Juho smirked, looking at Jungkook with a raised eyebrow. "Here comes your man," he said, his voice tinged with a mix of amusement and recognition.
Taehyung rushed toward Jungkook as soon as he saw him, pulling him into a tight embrace.
"Baby bun," Taehyung said, his voice full of concern, "Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?"
He bombarded Jungkook with questions, not even pausing for a breath.
Jungkook pulled back slightly, still in Taehyung’s arms, and reassured him. "Tae, calm down. I’m perfectly fine."
Taehyung let go of him reluctantly, but his eyes immediately turned toward Juho, who was standing there, watching the couple with a soft gaze. The sight of his father stirred something in Jungkook, but the intense emotion was quickly replaced by Taehyung’s protective instincts.
Taehyung’s eyes darkened. "YOU BASTARD!" He took a step forward, fist raised, ready to strike.
Jungkook quickly stepped in, placing a hand on Taehyung’s arm to stop him. "Hubby, stop! He’s my father."
