Ananya
The auditorium buzzed with excitement as students in graduation caps and gowns filled the rows. Today marked the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. My heart swelled with pride as I adjusted my cap, standing among my friends, the culmination of years of hard work finally paying off.
But more than that, Aarav's presence made this day even more special. He'd been my anchor, my biggest cheerleader, and the love I couldn't put into words yet.
As I walked onto the stage to accept my degree, I couldn't help but search the crowd for him. He stood at the back, dressed impeccably in a tailored suit, his eyes fixed on me with pride so fierce it made my heart skip a beat.
After the ceremony, I found him waiting near the entrance, his arms crossed and that signature smirk on his lips.
"You did it, baby," he said, pulling me into a hug. "I'm so proud of you."
I smiled, my cheeks flushing. "Thank you for being there for me, Aarav. I couldn't have done it without you."
He pulled back, his hands resting on my shoulders. "You're wrong, Ananya. You did this. Your hard work, your determination—this is all you. I'm just lucky I get to be part of your life."
Aarav
Watching her glow with happiness made me realize just how much she meant to me. Ananya wasn't just my wife; she was my everything—my partner, my light, my future.
"Let's go celebrate," I said, taking her hand.
We walked through the campus, her excitement infectious as she pointed out all the spots where she'd spent her time. I listened, laughing at her stories, but my mind was elsewhere. There was something I'd been meaning to tell her, something I couldn't hold back any longer.
When we reached a quiet spot under a large tree on the campus grounds, I stopped.
"What?" she asked, tilting her head in confusion.
"Ananya, there's something I need to say," I began, my voice steady despite the racing of my heart.
Her eyes widened, and she nodded for me to continue.
I took both her hands in mine, looking into her eyes. "I've loved you from the moment you walked into my life. You've changed me in ways I didn't think possible. You've brought joy, chaos, and love into my world, and I can't imagine my life without you. I love you, Ananya, more than words can ever express."
Her eyes filled with tears, and for a moment, she just stared at me, her lips quivering.
"I... I love you too, Aarav," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "I didn't realize it at first, but you've become my safe place, my home. I can't imagine my life without you either."
I pulled her into my arms, holding her tightly as if letting go would mean losing her. "You're mine, Ananya. Forever."
Ananya
His words wrapped around my heart, filling me with warmth and joy. As I looked up at him, I saw a vulnerability in his eyes that made my love for him deepen.
"I am yours," I said softly, standing on my tiptoes to press a kiss to his lips. "And you're mine."
His arms tightened around me, and he kissed me deeply, right there under the tree. It felt like the whole world disappeared, leaving just the two of us in our bubble of happiness.
Later that evening, we celebrated with his family, who were as exuberant and loving as ever. Aarav's cousins teased him mercilessly, calling him a doting husband, which only made him smirk proudly.
