"That's what I just remeber..the police somehow find out and now I have to run away and hide."
"S-so all this time.."
"Yup."
He just suddenly hugged me. I then slowly hugged him back, feeling his heart beat through his chest. Hes so small yet fragile, like he used to be back then. Something just hit me.
"Jeremy."
"Yes..?"
"Show me your wrist."
"...."
His hands are still wrapped around me, not letting go. I knew it. I let out a sigh and reaches behind me, slowly unwrapping his arms. His head was hung low, trying his best not to look at me. Slowly yet carefully take one of his hands, rolling up his sleeves. What I saw was never new to me.
Scars. New and old. I look at the size of his hands instead of the actual scars and hell, they are thin. I don't even know if he drank milk ever since a child because it looks like he didn't. I look back at him. Reaching to his face, I rested my index and thumb to his cheek, lifting his head towards me, seeing he was holding back tears.
"I-I'm sorry..I'm so sorry.."
His tears started spilling, not able to stop crying. The feeling of being hurt all through years is something I would know. I sighed lightly before wiping his tears with my sleeves yet they don't seem to stop. Poor little boy.
I slide his sleeves down and pulled him into a hug. Looks like he wouldn't be able to go to his work. Again. Keeping an arm wrapped around him, I pulled my phone from my pocket and called boss. Sooner or later, he answered.
"Hello there! It is I, Mr. Fazbear speaking, would answer any questions you ask. What seems to be the question?"
"Oh, um, hey boss."
"Oh! Vincent! What seems to be the problem?"
I glanced at Jeremy who was silently crying onto my chest. I petted his hair with a small worried smile. "Is it alright if I can go and replace Jeremy for a while? He had a very bad cold right now and he needs to stay home and rest."
"Oh dear! Yes, of course he could stay. Poor Jeremy, tell him to get better, okay?"
"I will, don't worry."
"Also, don't fight with Mike, alright?"
"Ugh. Fine."
He then hung up. Dammit. I let out a sigh and glances back down at Jeremy who has his arms still wrapped around me. Shoving back my phone in my pocket, I patted his back and kisses his head. He slowly pulled away and look up at me. I reached to him and wiped his remaining tears.
"You should rest, you needed it." I smiled and he nodded. He was about to stand up when I picked him up, making him let out a noise of shock ness and nervousness.
"W-what are you doing?!"
"Carrying you."
"You don't have to..you know.."
I didn't say anything after that, I just carried him back to the guest room he was in earlier. I walked in and places him back down on the bed and tucked him in. He really do feel like a little brother to me. He smiled so slightly before yawning. So cute and innocent.
"Be safe.." He mumbled. I swear I felt my heart beat go fast. No one ever told me to 'be safe' to work or anything at all. He's the first. Hm..
"I will.."
He then closes his eyes and I smiled. Sooner or later of watching, I finally walked out of the room and to my room. I took my uniform off and went to my closet, opening it. I took out a shirt and a memory just hit me. A purple shirt, still stained by the old blood of kids. Never knew it's still here.
I chuckled then places it back in before pulling out a simple shirt. I put it on and went to bed, laying down and closing my eyes. Tonight's gonna be fun, specially that I'm going to work with Mike. Smiling, I slowly drifted off to sleep.
-----
It was now 11:00 when I arrived at the pizzeria, always being an hour early. I just sat on the main seat, not caring if Mike sat here. I had my legs up to the table as I scanned through my phone. It's still quite early so I might check Jeremy.
Looking through the numbers, I then called my home phone, which was in the kitchen. I patiently waited, hearing a couple of rings before someone answered the phone. I heard a groan before the familiar stuttering voice answered.
"H-hello? Sorry but Vincent isn't here..h-he's at work right now.."
"Hey Jeremy, it's me. Vinny." I chuckled at the nickname I remeber he called me.
"Oh..hey Vinny, aren't you at work right now?"
"Well I am, I haven't just started yet, plus Mike isn't here yet."
"I see..so, how's it going?"
"Well.."
_Mike's POV_
After over thinking back at the house, I finally arrived at the pizzeria. I pushed the doors open and walked towards the office but slowed down when I heard a voice speaking. Sounds like Vincent but..who's he talking to.
I might doubt this later but I decided to eavesdrop him, trying to listen on what he's saying. I sneaked up to a wall, close to the entrance, and leans against it.
"That's good to hear. You should rest for the night and eat up as well. I've know what happened and I know what's going on to you now, so don't lie to me....I'm not a mother, jeez....have you eaten anything yet? Yes? Good to hear....oh, work's gonna start soon, I better go...I'll see you soon, sleep well.."
*beeb*
"..I know you're there, Mike."
Shit.
I decided to gave up and walked in the room, seeing the tall male just standing up, putting his phone in his pocket before sitting down.
"Who're you talking to..?"
"Hm? Oh, it's none of your concern."
"Well too bad. It is."
"It's Jeremy. Now shut it."
He then picked up the tablet and just leaned in ON MY CHAIR. I just grunted and walked to where Jeremy used to sit. It's smaller than the other one so I kinda have the difficulty to move around a bit. Glancing at the black hair man, he seems to be so calm as he do his work.
What a dick, that's my job, to check the cameras. I just mentally sighed and decided to grab the flashlight. Flashing through the hallways, no one seems to moved yet. Looking both sides of the vets, no sounds, no body. Good.
Just glancing at Vincent makes me remind of Jeremy, and it's annoying me. The fuck's wrong with me?! I grit my teeth and looks away from him.
"What's the matter, Mike?"
"Nothing."
"It doesn't sound like its nothing."
"It really is nothing, just leave me the fuck alone."
Wait..I just realised something..
Am I jealous of Vincent?!
