———————————————————————————

Max was in the market looking at the books on the rack. He picked one up and the dark leathery book owned its eye and flashed its yellow sharp teeth. Max stared at the journal and walked over to the counter, placing the cursed book on it. "I'd like to buy this please," Max says to the shopkeeper. "That'll be 25 snails." The shopkeeper replied. Max took out his pouch and placed 25 snails on the counter then he took the book. "Thank you!" Max walks away from the stand while the shopkeeper tries to warn him about how much evil the book holds, but Max is already far enough to not hear the keeper's warnings.

"You'll be my new journal." Max smiled at the book. "What's your name?" He asked. "I am Gorgon. Heath my warning mortal, I will release every source of darkness if you EVER— he-hey!" Max softly pokes the area where the nose is supposed to be. "No booing button..." Max says in disappointment. "I'm a book kid. I don't have a nose." The journal replied with a deadpan expression.

Max sees Gus and Willow and walks up to the two. "Hi, guys! I bought myself a journal to write down all the stuff I learned while in beastkeeping!" Max rambled excitedly. The journal opened its eyes and stared at Max and showed its sharp teeth. Max gently poked its eye to stop it. "No," Max told the journal like it was a toddler. "Might be a little cursed, but that's okay!" Max smiled. "How are you guys going?" He asked the two.

Willow and Gus were looking miserable when Willow opened her mouth to tell Max what was wrong, Luz ran up to them "Hey, friends, wait, what's wrong? Who hurt my babies" she asked them "Them" Willow pointed to a group of witches hanging out with amity "amity's having a moonlight conjuring and invited everyone but me" willow continues "and she keeps posting about it on her penstagram account" Gus adds as he shows his scroll, the post said 'it's the conjuring night! No dorks allowed!"

Max read the penstagram post and shook his head. "Wow, that's targeted." Max mumbled. "what a jerk. What's a moonlight conjuring?" "It's when to spend the night at other's houses," Max told Luz while.

"Like a slumber party, we have those," Luz said "Then you bring something to life with moon magic," Willow tells Luz, "like a weird slumber party" Luz continues "Gus and I have never been to one, you need at least three people and—" Luz gets an idea and intrups. "I'm four people! I mean We're four people! That's so much better than the!" Luz beamed. "Yeah! Luz is right." Max told Willow. "It'll be so much better than their moonlight conjuring." Just as he says the popular girls walked by the group. "Sorry, you couldn't get invited to the moonlight conjuring." Clementine mocked. "It's for real witches," Boscha added. "Leave them alone. It's not their fault they're stuck with a talentless witch." Amkty told her friends as she walked away, holding shopping bags.

Willow stared at the group walking away and felt her blood boiling, which caused some vines to grow out of the ground.

Luz quickly smacks the vine away and puts an arm around Willow. "don't waste your time getting thorny over them, cuz we are gonna have our own moonlight conjuring" she told them. Max, Willow, and Gus smiled gleefully. "are you serious? This is on my bucket list, after owning a real human bucket" Gus said excitedly "That's a really weird thing to want but I appreciate your enthusiasm" Luz told Gus

"I'll go tell Eda!" Luz tells her friend before running off to tell Eda about the conjuring.

"This a so exciting!" Max excitedly shook his hands up and down (mind you, still holding the book so he was shaking the book as well). "We can wear pjs! And have snacks!" Max rambled. "This can be the first entry of my cursed journal!" Max beamed, holding the book against his chest. "You said you were cursed right?" Max looks down at the book. "I NEVER AGREED TO BE A SLAVE TO YOU!" The book screamed. Willow and Gus looked down at the book, surprised it could even talk. "Where did you get it?" Gus asked. "Right over...there?" When Max turned to the point where he got the journal, the stand where he purchased it was gone. "At least I think it was," Max replied.
