The One I Seek

The boys had to have their cameras on the minute one arrived at their partner's house which meant the audience would see the look that Man had shot Jes's house and everyone could see the true state of Jes's place too!

Jes sighed softly as he invited Man in. It was looking much better now. Jes's apartment was unfortunately a 1 bedroom studio apartment, so he only had 1 bedroom. However, he offered Man his bedroom and said he would sleep in the living room for the next 15 days.

MAN'S POV

"I can't let you do that, Jes. This is your home, after all. Let me take the couch, you can sleep in your own room."

Jes looked at me, and then he shook his head, smiling.

"I would let you do that if it means you will be comfortable. But you are at least a good 10cm taller than me, Man. The couch would be uncomfortable for you. But my bed is long enough for you to sleep comfortably. That's the reason why, plus you are my guest. I really can't let you be on the couch. Please accept it."

I pondered over it a bit. I was not feeling too good that Jes had to take the couch, but I finally agreed. He smiled and showed me to the room.

Okays, this was the 2nd surprise. Having seen the hall with its monochromatic feel, I had assumed the room would be equally as dark or monochrome too, but it was painted a cheery yellow. Soft satin yellow bedsheets adored his king-sized bed. It was also fitted with made to measure wardrobes and a dressing table with lights around it.

I looked over at Jes in surprise. He chuckled at the shock on my face.

"My niece designed this room. I'm awfully close to her, and whenever she comes to stay here, she sleeps in the room. Yellow is her favourite colour and wanted at least one part of the house to reflect it. And I do adore her a lot, so it was an easy decision though the look of shock and surprise is something common whenever someone sees my room."

I was absolutely stunned as it was nothing like the other parts of the house and it was interesting on how readily Jes agreed to his niece. Bedrooms are usually one's sanctuary so to do it according to someone else's tastes was awfully sweet of him. Jes told me to get comfortable and left the room. I watched quietly as he left, realizing I just learnt something new about him.

I opened the wardrobe to just put my bag on one shelf but realized it was empty! Where were all of his clothes?!

I went out of the room and Jes was washing his dishes.

"Where are your clothes?! I just wanted to borrow one shelf to put my bag but realized it was empty."

Jes just smiled at me.

"I had emptied my wardrobe. I wanted you to feel comfortable and at ease while in my house. So my room is absolutely yours for the next 15 days and I would not come in. So please feel free in that room and utilise the space as much as you want."

"But Jes.. it will be so inconvenient for you."

"No, trust me, I am absolutely fine. The home is just a bonus to me. I am happy to live in small spaces. I used to live in homes smaller than this as a kid so this is definitely a bonus for me. Do not worry about me please."

I nodded, thanking him softly before going back to the room. I sat down in front of his dressing table.

I momentarily had forgotten about the camera so the entire world had heard me when I muttered, "This guy is quite the character."
