Chapter 37/ DBZ, Reunion With An Old Acquaintance

However it was not the grand priest who answered, but the Zeno twins, who answered sternly, ("Shush, he can do as he likes, speak again... And you will go bye bye.") Beerus panicked, bowing his head immediately, trembling as he complied, ("As you command your holiness's.") Then sitting back down almost robotic like.

From the moment Rimuru suddenly appeared before Goku, all of team 7 took a battle stance, ready at a moments notice to spring into action. However Rimuru ignored everyone else and just continued to stare down at Goku, before asking in a monotone voice, ("Your name is Goku yes.")

Goku struggling just to look up at Rimuru, replied defiantly, ("Yeah, so what if it is.")

Rimuru ("Your going to answer some questions for me.")

Goku sternly stared up at Rimuru, his stern gaze matching his tone, ("Go on then, what do you wanna know.")

Rimuru ("For starters, why are their 2 Zeno's.")

Goku continued to reply sternly, ("One of the Zeno's is from a different timeline, we needed that Zeno's help in defeating Zamasu. A powerful opponent who had destroyed his multiverse and seeked to destroy others. After Zeno from that timeline erased everything, I bought him back here in order to keep my promise with our Zeno of giving him a friend.")

Rimuru made a thinking pose, as he thought about Goku's story, before stating back a moment later, ("Very well I'll believe your story...") Rimuru too took a more stern attitude as he stated, ("Now for my next question, and I will say this now, Lie to me and it will be the last lie you ever tell.") Releasing some menace as he spoke.

Goku gulped nervously, but pushing his nervousness to the side, he answered seriously, ("Very well.")

Rimuru to was serious, as he asked, ("What are your motives for the omni kings.") Hearing Rimuru's question, all seriousness in Goku was thrown out the window, and was replaced but nothing but pure confusion, ("Motives?.")

Rimuru ("Yes, your motives.")

Goku just continued to looked puzzled as he said, ("I'm not sure what you mean.")

It was then when piccolo interpreted for the moron, ("Goku you idiot, he's asking you what you hope to gain by befriending the omni kings.")

Goku back to being his usual goofy self, answered, ("Oh right, you should have just said so...") Rimuru could only mentally face palm, thinking to himself, ("I did just say that.") Goku then went onto state, ("I don't wanna gain anything from them, their my friends after all.")

A moment of silence lingered in the air, until a gentle but genuine laugh from Rimuru broke the silence, with Rimuru going on to say, ("I see why they like you so much, your almost exactly the same as them.") Rimuru retracted the pressure put on Goku, while healing him of any fatigue.

Goku shot back up seemingly energised after being forced to his knees not even a moment ago. Rimuru then went onto explain, ("I needed to be sure of your intentions with Zeno. If you weren't honest with me, you would have died on the spot.")

Goku could only scratch the back of his head as he laughed nervously, while stating, ("Ehehe, Good thing I didn't lie.")

Rimuru now satisfied turned away as he began walking back towards the Zeno's, while yelling out to everyone present, ("Alright I'm all done, sorry everyone for the delay, your all free to resume the battle.")

Beerus couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief that Goku was unharmed, ("Thank the gods Goku wasn't killed...") Beerus took a moment to sort his thoughts out, before asking Whis, ("Whis, did you feel anything.")

Whis being quick on the uptake already knew what his master meant, ("No, not a thing my lord.")

Beerus almost expecting this answer, began to grit his teeth as he replied, ("Neither did I.")

Whis ("Yes, It appears this individual has the ability to pick and choose who or what feels a certain pressure. Although I'm not quite sure what that pressure might be, I speculate it could be weight magic.")

While the speculations and chatter continued around the stadium, Rimuru teleported back to the Zeno's seating platform, only to see the 2 floating around doing circles in the air as they both joyfully spoke, ("Yay, the fights can continue.") ("This is going to be so much fun.") ("I know right.")("And Rimuru's staying too.")

Seeing the 2 Zeno's speaking and floating around like a pair of multiversal destroying children, left Rimuru disappointed as he let out a heavy sigh from how childish the 2 Zeno's were, as he began thinking to himself, ("I had almost forgotten how childish these 2 are, argh, why did I only give them certain aspects of my personality, how bothersome.")

However pushing those thoughts to the side, Rimuru spoke out to the 2 Zeno's with his usual calm demeanour, ("Hey you 2, I've got some fun people I'm travelling with. Wanna meet them.")

The Zeno's both flew towards Rimuru, stopping just in front of his face, as they gleefully replied, ("Fun people! We wanna meet them.") Rimuru gave the 2 a alright, before disappearing for a second, only to return a few seconds later with Ciel, Chloe, Shuna and Shion.

The Zennies immediately rush to Ciel as they called out to her and hugged her waist, ("Ciel your here too, this is the best day ever.") Ciel was slightly taken aback by the sudden hug, but quickly composed herself as she began gently stroking the 2's heads, as she warmly replied, ("It's good to see you too, have you two been behaving yourselves.") The Zeno's both replied almost as if they were speaking to a parent, ("We have been good.")

Witnessing this cute interaction, Shion and Shuna both had stars in their eyes from cuteness overload. Shion not able to contain herself anymore, began asking of Rimuru like a puppy finding a new toy, ("Lord Rimuru, who are these adorable children, why haven't we met them before.")

It was then when the ever graceful Shuna interjected, ("Yes I agree, the fact that you never introduced us is a crime in of it's self.") Rimuru could only scratch his cheek as he frivolously laughed off Shuna's comment, thinking to himself, ("If only she knew how troublesome these 2 can be.")

Meanwhile this whole time Chloe had just been quietly observing everything so far, a warm smile tugged at her lips from witnessing everyone's interactions. It had been years since Rimuru and the others had all been together like this, and it warmed her heart remembering that these small moments are what they fought for all those years ago during the Tenma war.

Back in the present, after some introductions and squeezing hugs of the Zeno's. Rimuru informed the girls of what was currently going on and that they were going to stay and watch a tournament that the Zennies were hosting. The girls loved the idea and now all that was on their minds was who would get to cuddle with the Zeno's.

Rimuru wanting to ignore the jealousy he felt for the Zeno's in that moment, turned away and replace the 2 throne chairs the Zeno's were sitting on with a grand couch that they all could share. Rimuru then ushered over to everyone, to which everyone began making their way over to the couch and finding their seats for the upcoming tournament.

When everyone was finally seated, the Zeno's gave the ok to the grand priest, to which the grand priest then began to announce to everyone present, ("After a brief intermission, the tournament of power will now, Continue.")
