What was he thinking?
Sebastian's mind raced with the memory of her body pressed against him. His lips still tasted of her sweet flesh, drenched in temptation. He knew it was wrong, but that made him crave it that much more.
Heart pounding, Sebastian treed his way up the mountain path. He had to clear his mind of the impurities that plagued his thoughts. He needed to smoke something to bring back his high that had faded by his actions. His sober mind terrified him–clouded with thoughts of Adrienne.
Pushing his way inside the entrance to 24 Mountain Road, Sebastian let the front door slam shut against the frame. He darted down the flight of stairs to his room and made his way to his computer desk. He fell into his chair. His anxious fingers began to roll a joint, struggling to keep the loose bud from escaping the folded paper. His irritation bubbled closer to the surface.
Once he finished, Sebastian hurried up the stairs and began to leave. His breath was heavy as he rounded through Robin's carpentry shop, attempting to exit back into the crisp autumn evening. As his hand grasped around the doorknob, a sturdy grip engulfed his shoulder.
Startled, Sebastian turned to meet the eyes of an irate Demetrius. He let out an exasperated groan as he pushed his step-fathers hand away from his body.
"What the fuck do you want?" Sebastian was in no mood to argue with him after all that had happened, but Demetrius wasn't willing to back down.
"Don't you dare talk to me like that! You need to stop storming in and out of this house at all hours of the night... coming and going as you please... It's disrespectful to those of us who actually work for a living." Demetrius' voice dripped with a condescended arrogance.
"Actually work? You play science in your little lab... doing what exactly? How many times are you gonna test the soil samples... huh? What are you even testing it for? Who are you testing it for? Nobody in this town has ever asked for you to test shit? I'm actually working down stairs on my computer. I haven't played a goddamn game on my system in over a year, 'cause I've been busting my ass, saving to get out of this forsaken hell hole you call a fucking family!" Sebastian pushed Demetrius away from his body.
"How dare you come at me that way, after everything I've done for you." Demetrius pushed back into Sebastian's face. The vein in his neck pushed against his dark skin, pulsing with haste.
Sebastian leaned closer into his face, unafraid of anything Demetrius could say or do to him. His eyes narrowed as he shook his head–stormy-grey eyes boring into his step fathers gaze as he spoke low and steady.
"I don't fucking need you, for anything. You are a worthless excuse for a father. Even Maru sees it... you're just too far up your own ass to fucking see it."
Demetrius pulled his fist back and slammed it into the corner Sebastian's jaw. The pain radiated over his chin and lip, but Sebastian stood still staring off to the side in shock. He lifted his slender fingers and placed a delicate touch to his lip. A chuckle slipped through his busted lip, damp with the fresh blood. His eyes, dark with fury, connected back to Demetrius—a smile upon his face.
"What the fuck does my mom see in you?" Sebastian shook his head, laughing to himself. "You're seriously fucking pathetic. You know that?"
The look on Demetrius' face faltered before he retorted. "I've raised you when no one else wanted to. You think I'm pathetic, how about you take a look in the mirror there, son. You want to act high and mighty? You couldn't even be bothered to go to college, yet you want to tell me what a real job is?" His voice boomed, laughter filling the darkened shop.
