Khwaab pov~
"Do not speak."
I whispered in her ear, holding her shoulders to bend her down, below my chin and she kept quite.
My heart thumped against my chest loudly with the speed we just ran to hide and I could not help but gulp thickly to wet my dry mouth.
That was quick.
Pushing the heavy curtains asise a little, I tried to see all of them walking straight towards the dining while having chit-chat. The guards had their heads tilt down waiting for the queen to cross and I closed my eyes for a moment.
"Did you had the dinner?"
A heavy voice came from behind us and I opened my eyes with a jerk. Shaheen tilt her face up, wide eyes but before she could say something, I kept my finger on my lips shooking my head. She nodded.
"No, not yet. It's time for the night shift already. How about we wait for them to come? Or ranaji will get angry for leaving like this."
Another one answered and my brows knit in confusion. So, it's time to change shifts?
"Very well. I will go and prepare something special for us. It's been so long."
The man replied and I slide away a little in such a way that we both stay hidden behind the curtain. Their was a huge, tall pillar behind us and the thick, heavy curtain was tied to its pole, behind which we were hiding.
"Sure kumar, meet you at the dinner then."
The soldier replied to him while standing straight with a heavy weapon in his hand and that man nodded while walking away.
I shifted a little to hide properly and shaheen gazed up at me with curious eyes. I blinked once, nodding in assurance.
Peaking outside, once again from the corner, I tried to figure out the way I learnt from map.
This was the left side of hallway which leads to treasure room and secret weapons and exactly beneath it, was digged the dungeon.
This gallery was guarded by walls while red, long curtains were drawn down on both sides. Fire torches were burning at every step making the way enlighten with the slight moonlight. Whole gallery was guarded by almost two dozens of soldiers as much as I could see from here and all of them were fully armed.
I exhaled deeply while letting the curtain drawn from the corner. My head fall back to the pillar and I closed my eyes for a moment while placing my palm on my lower belly.
It was hurting so bad.
"Princess, please remove it. If you want I can carry them for sometime."
Shaheen whispered and I opened my eyes. I gazed at her and shaked my head while fixing her blouse over her shoulder.
"We are very close already. It's just a matter of one game now. Do not worry, I will be fine."
I tried to say and patted her shoulder with a smile. She lowered her lashes with a nod.
We both waited for a few moments and suddenly I blushed in my own thoughts. I bit down to my lower lip in anticipation thinking about that man again and slowly pushed aise my duppata from my waist.
I gazed down to near my navel where the red rose was hidden and could not help but feather it softly. It's petals were now getting dark; just like the night outside but still the touch felt magical just like the moonlight outside.
