"so, aap toh pehle yeh blood test karwaiye aur haan urine sample bhi path lab mein send kariye."
I kept the file of this patient at the side. This patient is important as the conditions are signalling Alzheimer's.The old man nods and gets up to leave. That's when his daughter says,
"Doctor. Is everything ok?"I sighed.
"Ms. Zubeiya, he is fine. But the symptoms are indicating that he might have Alzheimer's. we are not sure yet. And that's why I asked for tests." She looks at me shockingly. But she nevertheless went out.
I hope it's not Alzheimer's.Sometimes when you feel like a small loss is better than Bigg one. It's all human nature.
"Aisha, your shift has ended. You can take a break." I glanced at Maanvi waiting for me to accompany her to the canteen.
I smiled at her and took my belongings.
"Let's go"*
"Aisha, did you talk to him?" I sighed deeply. I shake my head in the negative."No, Maanvi. He doesn't even want to see me. Talking is like mountain climbing. Vikram is hurt, and that's too much." Maanvi glanced at him, and he was sitting silently at the corner table. Alone.
"Bro, galat baat toh thi na. You got married and we, your friends had no idea about the reality." I looked at her. And then looked away.
Things were different then, and things are different now.
"You know Aisha, you have to apologise to vikram. I'm sure he'll understand." I smiled and nodded."Waise maana padegaa, humein dur ka cousin bole husband wali baat chaupai tumne. Not bad Aisha." I looked at Shruti. She said it sarcastically.
"Ok. I'm sorry."
"Haan yar, woh toh uss raat humein in dono ko hug karte dek liya tha warna ye toh humein batati Hi nhi. Traitor." Maanvi glaring at me Said this.I glanced at the plate and smiled.
"Waise, did you talk to your husband. I don't think so?" Shruti asked, yeahh right. It's been a week and the only person who talked to me was his stupid secretary."Woh phone uthein tab na. Unka secretary hi call receive karta hai bas. He says that sir free nhi hai. I'll call you later." Maanvi chuckled at this.
Shruti also joined her.
"Kabab Mai haddi lagti hai secretary""Lagta hai!"
"Kya?"
"Ji yes, he changed his secretary once when we had an argument. And that's when Shreyas was appointed as his secretary." Both giggled at this."Kitne acche hai yar. He's so understanding." I looked at the blank space and smiled.
He's good. He's understanding. And genuinely a very humble person in nature. Very very understanding.
Very protective and possessive for me also.
"Acha, then, we are heading to the ward no: 103. I need to do some check ups. See u around " I smiled at them and they left me.
I sighed deeply as I saw Vikram leaving the canteen silently.
I'm sorry Vikram. I'll give you space for a while. You need it.I thought that I should call him once again. Maybe he's Free.
I called him and held the phone to my ears.
After a few Rings. The call was picked up.
"Hello?"
My heart pounds.
Mahesh ji."Hello Aisha?"
"Hii" I whispered as I don't know what happened to me. And my voice.
