Author POV - 

"Maa, Aarini kaha hai? Aaj pehla din hai naye school mai aur woh ab tak nhi uthi?" Vanshika asked, sighing. "Beta woh so rhi hogi, jaake utha lao usse aur dono behne aao khaane." I nodded and left for my sister's room. 

"Aarini get up!" I said moving her. "Di yaar 1 ghante aur hai meri beauty sleep puri hone mai." Aarini groaned, covering her face with the blanket. 

"Kaliyug ki Kumbhkaran uth ja, tere wajah se mujhe late nhi hona hai! Ruk papa ko bula rhi mai." saying this Vanshika left her room.

"Why does di bring papa into everything, my beauty sleep is essential for this glowing skin of mine." grumbling Aarini went to brush her teeth. Outside Aarini's room, Vanshika smirked as she knew this plan always works.

Later in the dining room, Aarini and Vanshika ate their breakfasts and were ready to start a new chapter of their lives. "Beta tum dono naye school mai jaa rhi ho. Vanshika, bete, you have a reputation to maintain. Act like the girl who topped her boards and now is ready for another challenge." "And Aarini," he sighs, "Beta izzat mat doobana hamari. Iss saal you have your boards, at least try to pass all the Unit Tests in school." Aarini grinned mischievously, "Of course Papa, I will definitely pass all my exams." 

Vanshika elbowed her side, "Aaru passing means khud ke dam pe pass karna, cheating nhi." Aarini winked at her before pulling her out, "Chalo di late ho jayega!!"

"Bacche ye extra dabba leti jao, Rudra ko de dena." Maithali called.

"Wow di kya mast campus hai! Chalo jao mere liye ek Jija dhundh lao." Aarini quipped, earning a slap on the head from Vanshika. "Suna na tumne Papa kya chahte hai? Hum bande patane nhi, padhne aaye hai." "Kya di boring ho aap, chalo I'm going to socialise!" saying so, Aarini darted into a group of girls by the intention of socialising. 

"HEY!! YOU MUST BE VANSHIKA RIGHT?!!!" a voice screams in Vanshika's ears making her flinch. "Hey hi, yes, I'm Vanshika, and you?" 

"Naina heree. I have a feeling we're going to be the bestestestest friends ever!!" Naina exclaimed. Vanshika gave her a confused smile."Uh-par tum mujhe kaise jaanti ho? I mean, aaj mera pehla din hai so..." 

"Accha oh ha maine woh toh bataya hi nhi tumhe." Vanshika smiled and said, "Chalo class chalte chalte bata do, warna late ho jayenge." 

"Rudra is your brother right? Ussi ne bataya hume. He said ki tumhare Papa ka transfer hua, toh tum sab Delhi shift honge. Rudra mera hi classmate hai, hum bachpan se hi acche dost hai." Naina explained. "Accha haa, Rudra ne hume bhi bataya tha, ki usne hamare liye dost ka intezaam kiya hai, par hume laga woh mazaak kar rhe hai." Vanshika laughed. 

Vanshika smiled internally, "Wah Ram ji, itni jaldi dost bhi banwa di! Ab bas teacher aur class bhi jaldi mil jaaye."

Nearing their classroom, they saw a commotion going on. Vanshika whispered to her newly made friend, "Ye kya cha rha hai??" Naina rolled her eyes before pulling her inside the crowd that had gathered. "Arreee, unka personal matter hai hume kyu khinch ke le jaa rhi ho!! Naina matt.." Vanshika protested. 

As soon as Vanshika reached the centre, she gasped. "The boy standing in front of me His face, like the moon, eyes like a stormy night looking straight into the depths of my soul. He looked as if Ram ji spent more time than usual in creating him." Shaking out of my reverie, I saw the guy looking at me with amusement. 

"Naina, ye konsi nayi phool padhari hai hamare bagiche mai?" he drawled. Naina suddenly lost the carefree look, and glared at him. "Aarav ye hamari dost hai, apni nazar daalna bhi mat ispe. Dur rehna isse. Ankush tum samjha do isse, agar ye Vanshika ke aas paas bhi nazar aaya hai toh mai muh tod dungi iska." Saying so, Naina grabbed Vanshika's arm and stalked away, leaving no room for argument.

Vanshika, lost in her thoughts, couldn't stop thinking about him. "Aarav, Shiv ji ka naam hai. Kitna sundar naam hai, ekdum unke jaise. His face had a serenity like no other-" 

"VANSHIKA KIDHAR KHO GYI HAI TU???? EARTH TO VANSHIKA!" Vanshika snapped out for her reverie to find an agitated Naina waving her arms in front of her face.

"Sorry, woh hum kuch aur soch rhe the." Vanshika apologized. "Aarav ke baare mai na??" Naina smirked. "A-arre kya tum, k-kuch b-bhi sochti rehti ho, pagal ladki." Vanshika stuttered, embarrassed. Naina laughed her pealing laugh and muttered, "Whatever floats your boat."

Vanshika, anxious to change the topic, asked Naina, "Waha chal kya rha tha par?" Naina sighed before saying, "Aarav ki ek fling thi, Rutvika, woh drama kar rhi thi. Aarav date karta hai ladkiyo ko, par he has never been in a relationship. He doesn't believe in commitment. Everyone knows this, uski pichli koi fling aise nhi chipakti usse, par this Rutvika thought ki woh Aarav ko badal sakti hai. Huh."

"Shee aisa kon karta hai?? Uski inhi sab harkato ke wajah se uske marks bhi nhi aate honge na?" Vanshika questioned. Naina laughed and said, "You're in for a treat baby, Aarav Shekhawat is the toppper of this school. Basketball team captain, there hasn't been even a single match he lost."

Aarav turned to Ankush, "Find me the details of this Vanshika, whoever she is. I want every single detail about her."

Ankush sighed, "Aarav yaar leave it. Naina ki nayi dost hai, Rudra ki cousin hai. Uske papa ka transfer hua tha isliye yaha aayi hai. Kyu faltu dhyaan de rha uspe?"

"Ankush, find me the details." Aarav repeated in a lethally calm voice. Ankush sighed, got up and left Aarav alone with his thoughts.
