After a few day later,as the soft light from the hospital window illuminated the room, Tenn felt the warmth of Riku's hand shift slightly in his grasp. His breath caught as he noticed Riku's eyelashes fluttering, his fingers twitching slightly before his eyes slowly opened.
For a moment, Riku blinked in confusion, his crimson eyes adjusting to the light. Then, as his vision cleared, the first thing he saw was Tenn—his beloved older brother sitting beside him, holding his hand tightly.
Riku's eyes widened, and suddenly, a bright, innocent smile spread across his face.
"Tenn-nii!" he called out, his voice full of warmth and happiness as if nothing had ever happened.
Tenn's heart clenched. The way Riku smiled at him, so carefree, so pure—it was almost as if all the pain, the trauma, the suffering had never occurred. But Tenn knew better. He knew what Riku had been through, what he had suffered, how much he had struggled. And yet, here he was, smiling at him like the little brother he used to be.
"Riku..." Tenn whispered, his voice barely steady as he squeezed Riku's hand.
"You're here," Riku said softly, his expression glowing with relief and joy. "I... I had a dream. A really long one... but you're really here, right?"
Tenn swallowed the lump in his throat and nodded. "Yeah. I'm here, Riku."
Riku chuckled lightly, the corners of his eyes crinkling with happiness. "That's great... I thought maybe I was dreaming again."
Tenn felt a sharp pain in his chest. This was the same Riku who had once been lost in the depths of his trauma, who had been on the verge of breaking. And yet, right now, he looked as though none of that had ever happened.
Was this the angel's doing? Did she heal Riku's mind completely? Or was Riku just pretending, pushing everything aside so he wouldn't worry anyone?
Tenn didn't know the answer.
But what he did know was that Riku was smiling again, and he would do everything in his power to keep it that way.
Before Tenn could say anything, the door burst open, and the rest of IDOLiSH7 rushed in.
"Riku!"
Mitsuki, Iori, Yamato, and the others flooded into the room, relief washing over their faces as they saw Riku awake and smiling.
"Are you okay? Do you feel weird anywhere?" Mitsuki asked, concern laced in his voice.
Riku shook his head, still smiling. "I'm fine! Really! I feel... great."
The members exchanged glances. They were relieved—yes—but something about Riku's cheerful demeanor seemed... off. Like he was forcing himself to be okay.
But for now, none of them wanted to question it. They were just happy to have their Riku back.
Tenn, however, knew better. He knew Riku better than anyone. And as he held his little brother's hand, he made a silent promise.Because Riku was still healing, even if he didn't realize it yet.
The room fell silent for a moment as everyone exchanged hesitant glances. Finally, it was Yamato who spoke up first, his voice as casual as he could make it.
"You've been out for three days, kid."
Riku blinked in surprise. "Three days?" He tilted his head slightly. "That's weird... The last thing I remember was... falling off the stage."
Everyone froze.
Iori's eyes widened, and Mitsuki visibly tensed. Tamaki and Sogo exchanged worried looks, while Tenn's grip on Riku's hand tightened slightly. That accident... had happened three years ago.
