MIN HO'S POV.
"𝓐 reason, a season, or a lifetime."
I say this with all the wisdom of a man who just massaged his face for ten full minutes. Across the room, Q is on the floor, halfway through a set of push-ups, looking at me like I just spoke in Morse code.
"What are you talking about?"
I roll my jade face roller along my jawline, exhaling through my nose like I'm about to drop the meaning of life on him.
"Every relationship fits into one of those categories." I say as if this is common knowledge—because, frankly, it should be. "I read it in a magazine." He doesn't look convinced, but that's his problem.
"The point is, Madison and I are over, and looking back, I believe it all happened for a reason."
Q, still doing push-ups, raises an eyebrow. "Long legs?"
I scoff. "No." What does that have to do with anything?
"She showed me I'm ready for something real." I say this with my full chest, proud of my newfound emotional growth.
But then a thought crosses my mind—something very inconvenient.
Does Dylan want something real?
The idea is immediately shoved into the farthest corner of my brain, buried under absolutely not, no way, shut up.
Q snaps me out of it with a sarcastic drawl. "Wow. Only you could come out of a breakup somehow feeling better about yourself."
"It was never something serious, so it was never a breakup." I shoot back, earning a snort from him.
There's a brief pause as he switches exercises, and I take the opportunity to redirect the conversation. "How are things with Florian?"
He hesitates. "He's going through some stuff." His voice is unsure. "But I'm here for him."
Before I can respond, someone knocks at the door.
Dae practically sprints out of his room and throws it open.
Kitty.
"Good morning!" she beams, and they hug like they haven't seen each other's in ages.
I groan. Maybe I don't want a serious relationship. Too cheesy.
And then—
"You look so beautiful today." Dae whispers to her.
I audibly gag.
"I'll make the coffee." Kitty grins. "I'll grab the mugs." Dae finishes.
It's only getting worse. "It's too early to be this cheery." I mutter, rubbing my temples.
