Accelerator soared through the bright, sunny sky. His white wings flapped like those of a graceful bird.
Crushing his DEM-issued phone away to avoid being tracked. Then throwing it away.
He looked down and saw citizens noticing him, staring in awe and disbelief while taking pictures. This prompted him to fly higher, to a place where he wouldn't be spotted. Soaring forward and upward, Accelerator accelerated.
Now deep in the air, if one looked at the sky, he would only be seen as a dot.
To his surprise, something was coming towards him.
Accelerator then saw that it was a small warhead. From his blurry vision, he discerned the radioactive sign. It was a miniature nuclear warhead.
It seemed DEM had fired it from somewhere as one of their countermeasures against him or in case of a Spirit. Accelerator deduced that based on the timing, it had been launched from far away, as he was sure Japan was Ratatoskr's territory.
The white wings shielded him from the nuclear warhead intended to shoot him down. They provided protection, but he felt nauseous.
The oxygen in the air could be broken apart by electricity. Oxygen molecules were normally formed from two oxygen atoms, but once the two oxygen atoms broke apart, they had a tendency to connect in threes as ozone. Oxygen and ozone were two different substances. Breathing in ozone would not satisfy one's lungs. Due to its use in sterilization, it was toxic. No attack would reach Accelerator even without his white wings, but that did not change the fact that he was a human who breathed in oxygen and exhaled carbon dioxide. If all the oxygen were removed from his surroundings, he would suffer from oxygen deprivation.
The white wings assisted him, ensuring he would not die from lack of air, but it was still affecting him.
Accelerator concentrated on moving faster to a place where he would not be tracked and found, flying randomly and making a purposeful random crash.
Accelerator fell through wood and brick as he crashed into a random building. The white wings on his back have disappeared. Feeling the cold stone on his back. On the floor, he opened his eyes and saw stained glass.
The eyes of the angel or demon then saw the beautiful stained glass depicting God looking down on him with a proud and paternal smile.
Accelerator rolled his eyes at the cosmic comedy of the scene.
He was surprised to land in a church, knowing that Catholicism is a minority in Japan.
Accelerator had fallen but could not get up. However, he did rise from the temptation of the darkness.
The fallen angel's vision blurred from the exhaustion, he heard soft footsteps approaching. A priest with foreign complexion, draped in a simple robe, knelt beside him.
"Oh, my! Are you okay, my son?" The priest reached out to him with concern. He then walked away with supplies to tend to his wounds.
Accelerator ignored him with a blank and irritated face.
"How did you get hurt so badly? How did you fall from the roof? Ah, kids these days, always trying to do daring things. So where did you come from?" the priest asked as he arrived and knelt to tend to his wounds. The priest returned carrying a worn leather satchel, the kind that had likely seen years of use. He placed it beside Accelerator and carefully unfastened the buckle. Inside were neatly arranged medical supplies—some modern, some surprisingly old-fashioned.
First, he pulled out a small flask of water and a clean white cloth. Without hesitation, he poured the water onto the cloth and gently dabbed at Accelerator's wounds, wiping away dirt and dried blood. The water was cool against his skin, soothing but irritating at the same time. Accelerator winced slightly but didn't flinch away.
