Next test...

"Yup. More of those tests today, at 10AM too. I just hope that it won't be worse or as bad as the last one. The last one hurt."

You hummed, swinging your legs slightly at the edge of his bed as he yawned again and let out a loud but short groan while stretching. After a few more seconds of comfortable silence you paused.

"OH SHIT! I TOTALLY FORGOT!"

He looked at you as soon as he heard the "oh shit" emit from your throat. His eyes wide and panicked.

"WHAT?! WHAT?!?! SPIT IT OUT! YOU'RE MAKING ME FREAK OUT!"

You smiled and looked at him, a small toothy grin plastered on your face.

"I got a peek at the date on one of the doctor's thinga-ma-bobs. (These thinga-ma-bobs being their clipboards) Happy Valentine's Day Sebby webby!!!"

He just sat there. A blank look on his face before he gave a soft smile, his eyes becoming softer. He had forgotten too, but it didn't stop him from pulling you into a hug. Gracing a soft kiss on your cheek before letting go.

"You're such a dork..but Happy Valentines Day Y/N."

NATS POV:💫

Natalie walked through the empty corridor. Her boots tapping against the floors of the Hadal Blacksite. She didn't know why she kept coming down here, no one really ever got the crystal. Sure, some people got their hands on it but they never truly got it. She huffed in annoyance, she didn't want to be down here but she went down anyway. Because she had nothing better to do. As Natalie walked she stopped at a desk, she, of course, began to rummage through them. Hoping to find data to bring back.

Then she heard something. A lamp had fallen and now lay broken on the floor. She looked around, hearing something (or someone..) slivering around. She turned and was met with the sight of a man. But this man had..tentacles..? His eyes were glowing blue.

But the number 1 thing that stood out the most to her was..the locks of wavy blue hair and tan skin. She blinked. Looking again. It really couldn't be..

She took a few steps forward, her hand reaching out to the person. They finally noticed her and looked her way. Their eyes widened, just the same as Nat's did. She couldn't believe it. Her voice coming out just above a whisper.

"Sun..?" 

The man had no hesitation in responding to her. His eyes got calmer, his voice responding in a nearly transformed voice. It came out scratchy and barely recognizable. But she knew exactly who he was. It was her husband. The very man she thought despised her after what she did. Ethaniel.

"..Moon..that's..that's you..right..?"

At this point Natalie had let a few tears fall. She moved her bangs from her eyes. All 7 of them now looking in his direction. Green and glowing and in little plus signs. She walked over to him. Nodding her head she reached a hand to touch his face.

"Yes..yes it's me. EJ..I've..I've missed you so much."

Nat wiped her tears (somehow) with the back of her hand. He looked into her now green eyes and his gaze softened.

"I've..missed you too. Your eyes..look so..different. What happened..?"

He brushed a stray lock of hair from her face and she smiled softly. She shook her head before responding quietly.

"You..you have no idea. It's a little hard to explain. But I'll do my best to summarize. I was tested on, tested to the point I got transformed. And given your new look..the same happened with you?"

He paused. His gaze looking down at himself. He had turned into some..some monster. He couldn't believe Natalie still recognized him. But the dark blue hair and navy blue eyes would always be a dead giveaway, especially with her. He smiled softly, even in the state they were both in. He wrapped his arms (and a few of he tentacles for better hug :3) around her. Pulling her in for a hug.

The hug was warm. And comforting. Something Nat just melted into. She inhaled his familiar scent, her arms wrapped around him tightly. A few more tears escaped her eyes and landed on his shirt (which he might've stolen..but that didn't matter) a few quiet sons escaped the two, both their eyes misty and watering into each others clothing. The two just stood there. Holding each other in silence.

Nat pulled away and smiled. Her hands intertwined with his own. His black tentacles relaxed behind him. He gave her a soft kiss on the cheek and pulled his hands away gently. Nat finally spoke again.

"H-how did you even get here..? Why are you here? You've never done anything wrong! So..what happened?"

He looked down at his feet. A little ashamed to admit this but did so anyway. Because they were technically still married. He sighed and rubbed he back of his neck before looking back up at her.

"I..A-after you were..taken away, I got really depressed and started drinking. Being stupid and not thinking I grabbed the keys and before I knew it..I was being hauled away in the back of a police car."

She hummed softly in response. She understood how he felt at that moment. Because they were technically same went for her after her whole..incident. She sighed and gave him another quick hug.

"Whatever..it doesn't matter what you did. Or how you did it. I'm just glad to see you."

He sighed in relief, glad she wasn't mad. She got kinda scary when she was mad. They enjoyed another few moments of quietly embracing each other before being interrupted by a high pitched beeping sound. Nat sighed again, more heavy and sad this time. She let go and spoke again.

"I..need to go. Before I get blown up."

He tilted his head. What did she mean.."blown up?" He simply nodded and let her go. She gave him a soft kiss on his lips, before waving goodbye and disappearing into the vast corridor of electric sliding doors. He didn't realize how much he missed her until now. He hadn't realized it but tears began to unwillingly fall from his eyes. Leaving light streaks on his skin. 

He sniveled and wiped them away before heading off on his own way. His blue glowing eyes moving back to where they were standing before. Until, he too, disappeared on his own way. He didn't know if it'd be the last he'd see of her, but he hoped it wasn't.
