------------ENJOY THE CHAPTER ------------

By the time evening settled over the Moretti household, a quiet warmth filled the air. The scent of home-cooked meals drifted through the corridors, mingling with the soft laughter of family members. Lorenzo stood in his room, his suitcase half-packed, yet his thoughts were elsewhere. His work in Naples was nearly complete, and his brother had called him back to Sicily. His mother was finally coming home from the hospital. But amidst it all, one thing stood out—he had finally understood his feelings for Julian. And now, Julian was his.

A small, content smile played on Lorenzo’s lips, but a knock on the door pulled him from his thoughts.

Opening it, he found Julian standing there in a warm peach sweater, looking as soft as the evening light. His brown eyes shimmered with quiet happiness, still carrying the glow of their confession at the amusement park.

"Mom is calling you for dinner," Julian said, his smile lingering as if it couldn’t be wiped away.

Lorenzo chuckled, tilting his head slightly. "When my cute boyfriend calls me to dinner that sweetly, how can I say no?"

The word boyfriend felt new on his tongue, and Julian’s cheeks turned a delicate shade of pink. It felt surreal—this moment, this reality. But it was real, and Julian was his.

They made their way to the dining room, where the family was already seated. Clara, Giovanni, Enzo, and Mia all sat around the table, chatting idly. Lorenzo exhaled deeply, his heart settling into something more serious.

He glanced at Julian before finally gathering the courage to speak.

"Mr. Moretti," Lorenzo began, his voice steady but the weight of the moment pressing on him. "I have something important to tell you."

The room fell into silence, all eyes turning toward him. Julian stiffened beside him, already knowing what was about to be said. A lump formed in his throat, but he didn’t stop Lorenzo.

Giovanni folded his arms, observing Lorenzo with a calm but assessing gaze. "What’s the matter, Mr. Cortelli?"

Lorenzo swallowed. It was rare—practically unheard of—for him to feel nervous. But this moment held more significance than any business deal or mafia meeting ever had.

"I… I mean…" He fumbled, for the first time in his life at a loss for words.

Before he could find his footing, Julian spoke up. "Dad, Lorenzo and I are dating."

The words rang through the room, clear and unwavering. A flicker of surprise crossed Clara’s face. Mia’s lips parted slightly in shock. Giovanni’s expression remained unreadable, and Enzo—Enzo only smirked, shaking his head as if he had seen this coming from miles away.

Giovanni’s eyes flicked back to Lorenzo. "Is it true, Mr. Cortelli?"

Lorenzo met his gaze and nodded firmly.
