25) Open Heart

"...I have been trying for the past weeks to get tracking on her emails. It must have changed users, seeing how these are the only messages found. I'm not sure how long she had been in tabs." You said, sliding your timelines on your own about the emails. Careful and noted throughout. Aizawa was impressed. He would think you work aimlessly from home and just watch cat videos without anything to disturb you before the training sessions. However, seemed like you have been busy trying to cope with as many solutions as you can squeeze out. All yet lead to a dead end.

"You've done all this?" He asked, eyeing you with sharpened eyes. If it were a sword, you would be dead just by the sight of it. Ironically. "...Yes, I didn't want to be just a person waiting for news. I have to meet Hawks too right? That means I need every trace I have as my own, plus more if anyone is able to provide me." Yeah, he's so surprised by that. But knowing you for over a month with frequent meetings, he was sure you're someone like that. "...I'm proud."

Your eyes suddenly flash with a hint of confusion and a small amount of appreciation that is etched with his words. Shyly, you fidgeted your hand, like a kid who just got praised for being able to wash the plates without help. "..oh.. I just.. wanted to see.. what I am getting myself into." His small smirk showed by your words, gingerly held up the paper you provided him, "...You have another copy?" He asked as he stood up looking through the pages "Yes, I have made another.." He nodded, "...I will get more into it with Hizashi. He has connections in his agency to hack or look into some accounts if needed. This needs big guns.." He simply answered, carefully folding it up to store in his pocket. "Nonetheless... you're brave to take such measurements..."

Was he always this... soft? You weren't sure, the way he spoke to you, you just... it just felt so... so- man, there's no description other than the fact you feel all fussy and giddy and so giggly. 

"I assure you, we'll get the case finished up soon," But in all the chaos, you wondered if this is... just a simple case. And a small fling of a crush you built during the holidays.
"...Thanks for your hard work," You muttered softly, eyeing the man before you who seemed to be way too observant for a normal person to even feel comfortable in. "...Have some rest, princess."

"How's she?" A rough voice masked with a cover or sort came through the phone. Shigaraki had no choice but to take the call from the so-called villain. The nomu experiments are getting better and better, even to the point of Kurogiri level. It's concerning how Overhaul had helped with just a serum, and now, everything seemed all smooth for Shigaraki to walk in. However, as much success as it brings him, he has to admit, once the girl is in captivity. Someone wouldn't be able to walk the same path they had before. "We're keeping an eye out for her. We'll get her soon."

"Good, I'll be returning from Korea in about 2 weeks. I went her captive by then." Demanding as he was, Shigaraki had no point in arguing back and decided to hang up on the other line. Things are going according to plan. He managed to track the girl without any problem after the serum had taken effect. With eyes and ears everywhere, he had no trouble with her small routines, as well as Aizawa's. He should be happy. Satisfied for once in his pathetic life. 

He's hesitating. For something to go wrong, he hoped.
"Yo boss... you gotta see the woman." A staggered, rough voice cut the man out of his trances to get up. "What is it." He spoke, and the ruffles of his coat and heavy boots reached the lab in the base. Tubes of unspeakable liquids of all sorts, colourful bunches that bring no colour to the woman lying before them. "....she'll be ready to transform in a week's time." Kurogiri spoke, eyeing the woman as well. Shigaraki took a step near as he eyed the figure. "...The girl took a lot from the mother."
"It's a good thing no? Otherwise, the father might actually come back alive." Dabi spoke making Shigaraki scratch nonstop just by the title mentioned. The father of the girl was a famous lab scientist who had worked under them before Overhaul reached out. Keeping clean to get the experiments with 2 working doctors. However, the man was more money-driven than the future, making Shigaraki kill him the first thing he heard of the man's action. However, selling his own daughter wasn't on his mind at first. Just that the father had also sold Overhaul the information of the nomus they worked. Honestly, he didn't even know the father was a father until they had their paws on the said daughter from Overhual's lab building. 4 years ago. The sudden reminiscing stopped the scratching as Shigaraki cussed at himself mentally. He should never have given the girl back, she could have been his ally to be his right hand. Yet he miscalculated. One small step that is causing the butterfly ass-whooping effect to delay his paradise.

The room was silent for a moment. The misty figure man dispersed, leaving the two men alone with the half-dead figure. "...something's up with ya crusty" A cocky voice spoke standing side by side to eye the woman. A similar replica if not an older version of how you looked with only small differences. "She's not even all that. That birdbrain is making me wait in... for our deal to be done." Shigaraki complained, shuffling in his stance with a visible tension on his face. "...to tell you the truth boss.." Dabi spoke, lightly and confidently about how he felt and acted with no tension in any spot "She was something else..."

Izuku x reader? But since I saw some hate on our SRK the OG man, I rewatched his one of the movie and... what do we think about "rab ne bana di jodi" BUT with yearner izuku. 
I have few exploring ideas, should we do this a bakudeku with bottom baku 
or simple way, just our readers? lmk I will work THIS STORY TOO I PROMISE. (liar)

Edit (12/5/25) I feel like the character would suit Kirishima more so KiriBaku, anyone?
