Valentina's Perspective~

I woke up to the sound of gentle breaths, soft and steady. The kind of calm I'd never been used to, not until now. Not until I had the twins in my arms and Dante by my side. It had been a long journey, but this... this was different.

Luca and Rafael were peacefully sleeping, their tiny hands wrapped around my fingers, their small faces softened in deep slumber. I didn't dare move. I didn't want to disturb the moment. I wanted to hold onto it for as long as possible.

The days after the birth had been a blur, a mix of emotions, overwhelming joy, and fear. Fear of the unknown. Fear of being a mother in a world so dangerous. But Dante had promised me something that gave me strength—a promise of protection. And for the first time in months, I believed him.

I slowly turned my head to the side, watching Dante as he slept beside me. His features were relaxed, softened in a way I rarely saw. The power and dominance he exuded during the day were gone now. In his sleep, he was just a man. My man. And I couldn't help but let a small smile tug at my lips.

When he woke up, his eyes met mine, a subtle smirk forming on his lips as he reached out to gently run his fingers along my jaw. "Good morning, tesoro." His voice was hoarse from sleep, but it held the same warmth I had come to depend on.

"Good morning," I whispered back, my heart swelling with a quiet love I'd never thought I'd feel.

Dante leaned forward, his lips brushing against my forehead in a soft, lingering kiss. "How are you feeling?" he asked, his voice so tender, so gentle that I almost couldn't recognize it.

"I'm better. I'm... I'm happy." The words felt foreign on my tongue, but they were the truth. I had been so broken, so afraid of losing everything, but now, with Dante and the twins, I felt... whole.

Dante smiled, his eyes softening as he looked at our sons, still sleeping peacefully. "We're going to make it, Valentina. We're going to give them everything we never had."

I nodded, my heart full of emotion. "Together."

Dante's gaze softened even more as he pulled me closer, pressing a kiss to my temple. For a moment, we stayed like that—wrapped in each other's arms, content in the silence, just being.

Dante's Perspective~

The world outside was still dark. The mansion felt quiet, still, like it was waiting for something. But inside, in this room, everything had changed.

Valentina. The twins. This was the life I had never thought I would have, yet now, it felt like the only one I wanted.

I had fought for this. Fought for her. Fought for them. Every battle, every sacrifice, led me here. But nothing had prepared me for how complete I would feel with my family by my side.

I watched as Valentina gently stroked Luca's hair, her fingers so soft against his tiny head. And then Rafael, the way his little hand gripped her finger—everything about this moment was perfect.

When she looked up at me, her eyes full of that quiet love I knew was beginning to grow between us, I couldn't help but smile. "You're amazing, you know that?"

Valentina smiled back, though there was still a hint of vulnerability in her gaze. "I don't feel amazing. I feel... like I'm still figuring it all out."

"You don't have to have it all figured out. We'll figure it out together."

Her eyes softened, and she nodded, letting out a breath as if a weight had been lifted. "Together."

And we would be. We'd rebuild our lives from the ground up. Together.

Valentina's Perspective~

As the weeks passed, things slowly started to settle. Dante had been incredible—constantly by my side, his devotion unwavering as we adjusted to our new life. He'd made sure we had everything we needed, from the finest doctors to the best nurses, to making sure our mansion was everything I could want and more.

But it wasn't the mansion or the servants that made me feel safe—it was Dante.

He was always there. Every moment of the day. I could feel the change in him—his heart, softer, more open to me and the twins. He wasn't the man who had dragged me away from my life anymore. He was my husband, the father of my children. And in that, I found peace.

One afternoon, while Dante was taking a call in his office, I sat with Luca and Rafael in the nursery. The sun was streaming in through the windows, casting a warm glow over the room. I watched as the boys interacted—Luca reaching out to touch his brother's hand, their tiny fingers grasping onto each other like they already understood the bond they shared.

I smiled to myself, feeling a quiet contentment I hadn't known before.

When Dante came into the room, he smiled at the sight of the three of us. "You look beautiful," he said, his voice low and filled with affection.

I felt the heat rise to my cheeks at the compliment, but it wasn't just the words that made me feel good. It was the way he said them—like I was the most important thing in his world.

He came over and leaned down, brushing a soft kiss to my lips before lifting Luca into his arms. "Look at him, Valentina. He's growing so fast."

I watched the tenderness in Dante's eyes as he held Luca, the love in his gaze unmistakable. For a brief moment, I realized how much had changed in such a short time. The fear, the pain, the uncertainty—they were all in the past now.

We were building something new.

Together.

Dante's Perspective~

Things had changed. No matter how hard I tried to ignore it, I had changed. Valentina had changed me. And the twins—Luca and Rafael—had given me something more than just a purpose. They had given me a family.

As I watched Valentina with the boys, I felt a surge of love so overwhelming that it nearly took my breath away. This was what mattered now. This family. My legacy.

I would protect them with everything I had. No one would dare come near them. Not my enemies. Not anyone.

I looked at Valentina, her face lit with that soft glow she had when she was content. She was the one thing I had fought hardest for, and she was the one thing that made everything worth it.

She turned to me then, meeting my gaze with a soft smile. "Dante..."

I raised an eyebrow, waiting for her to finish.

"We're going to be okay, aren't we?"

I moved closer, reaching out to take her hand in mine. I brought it to my lips, pressing a gentle kiss to her knuckles.

"We're more than okay, tesoro. We're perfect. We have everything we need."

I looked down at Luca and Rafael, then back at Valentina. "I will make sure you never have to fear again. I promise you that."

She leaned into me, her head resting against my chest, her breath steady and calm.

And for the first time in my life, I allowed myself to believe it—we were safe.

Together.
