The topic of marriage was not ending. It was a discussion happening in both Aisha's and Ishaan's families. And honestly, neither family was entirely wrong. They were coming from a place of love and concern.
It's true, marriage is something that will likely happen eventually for both Aisha and Ishaan. Neither of them is completely against the idea, but the timing just isn't right for them yet. They're not ready to take that leap. However, they acknowledge that it's something they'll consider in the future.
But their families are understandably impatient. They're thinking, "What do you mean, 'maybe someday'? It's something you need to do, but you're also saying you don't want to do it right now?" It's a common generational difference, where families prioritize settling down and building a family, while the younger generation often focuses on career and personal growth first. It's a tricky situation, and both sides have valid points.Aisha and Ishaan, both having yielded to the persistent nudging of their families, reluctantly agreed to explore the prospect of marriage. A WhatsApp group buzzed with the biodata of eligible singles, and profiles were dutifully created on Shaadi.com. The search began.
Both Aisha and Ishaan embarked on a series of meetings, each encounter a potential step closer to matrimony. Yet, with every conversation, a sense of disappointment grew. Ishaan found some women to be rude and others lacking ambition. None sparked a connection that hinted at a future together. He sensed a lack of understanding with some, and with others, a discouraging absence of support.
Aisha's experience mirrored Ishaan's. None of the men she met seemed quite right. There was always something missing – a spark, a shared value, a sense of compatibility. The search continued, but the path to finding a life partner seemed long and arduous.Few days later, On the family WhatsApp group, Ishaan’s mother, Gayatri, spotted Aisha’s biodata. She showed it to Ishaan, her voice filled with hopeful anticipation.
“Ishaan, look at this girl. Her name is Aisha. She looks nice, good educational qualifications, seems to have a good family background, and she’s quite cute. And she’s only three years younger than you.”
Ishaan, rubbing his temples wearily, walked over to his mother. He glanced at the photo, a flicker of something akin to interest in his eyes. “She’s… okay,” he conceded. Ishaan had met with several young women in the past few months, and he was growing increasingly disillusioned with the whole process.
Gayatri, seizing this small spark of interest, immediately called the number listed on Aisha’s biodata. It was her father’s.
“Jay Shree Krishna, Manish ji,” Gayatri greeted warmly.
“Jay Shree Krishna,” Manish replied. “Who is this?”
“I’m calling from Surat,” Gayatri explained. “I saw your daughter’s biodata, and I’d like to discuss a potential match.”
“Certainly,” Manish said. “Please send me your son’s biodata. If our daughter is interested, then the two of them can meet, and we’ll see what they decide.”
“Of course,” Gayatri replied. “I’ll send you Ishaan’s biodata right away. By the way, my son has his own business here in Surat. Your daughter is working in Mumbai, isn't she? Will she be coming to Gujarat, or would they prefer to meet online? Or perhaps Ishaan would have to go to Mumbai?” A slight note of worry crept into Gayatri's voice. She had finally convinced Ishaan to consider marriage; sending him to Mumbai to meet a girl seemed like another hurdle.
“Aisha’s elder sister is coming home next month,” Manish explained. “Aisha will also be there, spending time with her sister and family. We could arrange for Ishaan and Aisha to meet then.”
“That’s wonderful!” Gayatri exclaimed, relief washing over her. “I’ll talk to Ishaan, and you speak with Aisha.”
“Yes, definitely,” Manish agreed.
