They stared at the doctor in silence. Baldi leaned in with a smirk, hands on the table. "WOAH! Lore drop!"
Dr. Reflex gave them a small smile, fixing his tiny glasses. "I know I kind of rambled there, but it's the truth. Even if we lose the school, we'll get it back in the blink of an eye."
The principal sighed. "But that doesn't change the fact that THOSE TWO are making our lives a LIVING HELL..." he sneered. "We're going to fix them. We're going to make sure that they learn their lesson. They will learn their lesson. We will force them into line."
Gotta Sweep let out a slurred laugh. "It's not that big of a deal, boss."
"IT'S A REALLY BIG DEAL!" he yelled. "Ever since the simulation decided it would be a grreaaat idea to make the player an actual character, everything has been a big deal! EVEN WORSE, THE SIMULATION MADE TWO OF THEM!" He wiped away the ink that dribbled down his cheek.
"Whoever's behind the simulation wants to give the game more...style...you can't blame them," Dr. Reflex said calmly.
Baldi put an arm on the doc's shoulder. "Jeez, Ref. You're the most recent character to be added and you know so much more than us."
"Can we please stop going off-topic?" Mrs. Pomp spoke up. "Principal Thing looks like he's about to blow a vein."
"We're forcing them to get in line," he sneered in his deep voice. "Starting today."

Charlie and Oliver stood in the middle of the hallway, staring at a kaleidoscope they found on the floor. Their eyes were large and dilated. "It's pretty..." they whispered to each other like idiots. For some reason, number two on their "Things We Love and Can Never Not Love" list was shiny, colorful objects like kaleidoscopes.
Mrs. Pomp appeared behind them, a smile on her wooden face. "Where are you two boys supposed to be right now?" she asked in her pleasant British voice. They turned to the English teacher and looked at each other.
"Math," they said in unison.
"Then why aren't you there~?"
They smiled at each other. "Why should we be there?" Oliver asked. "All Mr. Baldi teaches is a jumble of signs and letters."
"Math is very important," Mrs. Pomp declared, lifting her chin and closing her eyes. "Math is the fundamental language of the universe. I mean, think about it—every single thing that exists, from the orbits of planets to the smallest particles in quantum mechanics, operates on mathematical principles. Without math, there would be no understanding of how the universe works at its most basic level. It's like trying to build a computer without any coding. Not to mention, math lets us unlock the secrets of nature, solve problems with precision, and make shockingly accurate predictions. Engineers, scientists, and even economists all use math to make sense of the world. And, every time you solve a tricky problem, you're basically exercising your brain and improving your critical thinking skills. It's like doing brain push-ups. Honestly, math is—get off the floor."
The two boys were glued to the floor as if gravity had become fifty times stronger. "Sorry, we got so bored of your ranting that we couldn't handle standing anymore," said Charlie in a strained voice.
Mrs. Pomp gave them a disappointed look. "Okay, now that is very disrespectful. Don't you have any respect for your teachers? I'll have you know—aaaannnd they're gone." Pomp watched as the kaleidoscope spun in the air for a good three seconds and fell to the floor.
"What was that?" Gotta Sweep appeared around the corner. "You didn't even try!" The broom went up to the shoe lady.
"Yes, but I did give them a lesson on why math is very essential in life," she stated matter-of-factly.
