i run through the alley towards the shortcut. i know that hes going home considering his route. my agility and speed compared to his is nil to inexistent. i can jump walls for him.
out of exhilaration, i pulled him to myself.
hes struggling in my arms. punching, scratching, stomping at my feet.
"ow! stop! stop! its okay." i said on his ears calming myself and him in my arms as well. i can lift him no problem. geez, hes so light. i need to plump him out when were finally together.
"its okay." i said again and felt him slump on my chest.
he passed out on me.

did i really scare him that much? i didnt realize hes so scared to his wits.
we stayed put like that for a while ignoring curious gazes and inquiries. i dont want to startle him but what can i do? i cant get him off of me since hes clutching my shirt tight. and im loving this posture right now. i dont think i can get this chance for a while after this.
maybe 15 to 30 minutes later, he stirred from my embrace.
"mmm..." his voice sounded so divine i could purr.
"awake already?" i started. i want to try this to be as casual as possible to melt him down to a desirable state. not like earlier.
"wha-?" he looked up on me with his hands still clutching tightly on my shirt. he looked at his hands and again on me. as if on reflex, he pushed me off so hard but it only felt like its only a brush.
"im just walking out here and you happened to stumble on me. i cant get you off since youre clutching on tightly." i said and i just wanted to smack me on the head. i sounded like im annoyed.
"im... im sorry? i... i... remembered someone was chasing me.. and... and... then pulled me back when i turned to the corner..." he said looking frantic. i looked down on him and hes as tall as my chest. i bet hes gonna love lying down on it when we...
DAMN! i bit my tongue hard to stop the thoughts. were so far away from that scenario.
"whatever." he finally said making me come back to this space. "im sorry and thank you sir..."
"im taika and im not sir. im still a student at uni. call me T." i said fast. i sounded like a player. goddamit! i hate myself.

RINI POV
my heart thump so hard on my chest and for sure this taika can hear it. i cant bear the humiliation anymore so i turned my heel after i said my goodbyes.
i looked back and hes nowhere to be found. maybe hes really annoyed cause i took much of his time.
in the short time that i was in his arms, its surprisingly comfortable. its as if im molded in into all his crevices. when i looked up, i was taken aback. his eyes are captivating. its blue but its not like the sky. its like blue in the waters where the sun shine on it. its mesmerizing. its haunting.
i stammered as hell after i got a look into it. i bet even my ears turned red. lucky my shifters ears didnt pop out, that would be so embarrassing.
as soon as i entered my apartment, i slumped down to my heels and breathe hard. this is the first time i got chased on. back when i was living with my parents, when we got well off, nobody attempted this kind of stunt. tormenting me from days on end. kidnapping? attempts, yes. typical for a fast growing business like my dads. i would just brush it off the day after but this... its really tiring. i guess next time i have extra time like this, might as well stay put at the uni and study than wander like today.
the next day, it was after our taxation class, kay was berating me about what happen yesterday. the poor angel has been blaming himself. im the victim here but i am the one consoling this poor baby.
we are on our way to the cafeteria when i bumped into someone again. i looked up and saw a set of familiar eyes.
"taika... um... sorry..." i said and pulled kay away. hes been tugging me earlier inquiring who he is.
