When All Lights Go Out II (TFP)

Chapter 29

There was no response, only laughter. She flinched as the walls around her suddenly cracked loudly with pieces of rock falling to the ground. She widened her optics as figures formed within the rocks, and she was even more afraid as the figures looked exactly like the knights she had seen before. The ones who terrorised her for days while within Optimus's gestational chamber. And they all appeared to look like their petrified remains. War, Death, Decay, Famine, Pestilence and Hatred were all present in a circle around her in the walls.

"I-I don't understand...this isn't..."

"Foolish child!" She shrieked and dropped to the ground, covering her ears as the bark from the voice was so loud it felt like it vibrated through her protoform. "Though you are just an infant. A child of a Prime, and of the dragon...you already know who I am. But you have yet to serve me. Now that my blood has infused with you, you will be able to achieve your original destiny. To bring chaos."

Azura trembled as she listened. "But...I'm not evil...wait...U-Unicron?" The voice laughed again, and Azura now recognized him. Not again! "No! I don't want to cause harm to anyone...I serve no one."

"Not yet. But you will see soon, little sparkling. You have no idea what will come." She shook her head and covered her optics. Hearing the loud sound of chains echoing through the cave suddenly terrified her. "You survived only for one purpose. And it will be fulfilled. The darkness will be your light, I promise you."

"No...no..." She shook her head desperately. "You are not my master! I will not! You can't make me!"

"You will have no choice. My claws are already deep. You are too weak to resist me."

"No, no, no!" Azura clenched her optics tighter as she did not want to look around her, even with the sound of the chains approaching. "I will never be your slave! Leave me alone!" There was another laugh and Azura tensed as she began to spread electricity through her body. "NO!" She reopened her optics and jumped into the water, causing a big splash and she ignited the water with the electricity, causing a massive charge through the rocks and shattering them causing the roof to begin caving in. She gasped loudly as she covered her head. "Daddy!

"Azura! Wake up!"

Azura's optics snap open wide as hearing Optimus's voice immediately pulled her out. She looked at the kind, worried optics looking back at her as she was held in the gentle, warm arms of her carrier and Azura's optics quiver as they fill with tears. "It is alright, Azura. I'm here. It was a nightmare." Azura began to sob as Optimus held her against his right shoulder and she buried her face into his shoulder as he caressed her back. "Let it all out. We can talk about it soon."

Azura did not care as she just needed to let it out. She was very upset as the dream felt another indication of what she might become. And it scared her. But she also knew it might not be real. She was in a cave with a shallow pool like the pools Alpha Trion had brought her to in her dreams. Maybe it was one, but there was a different reason behind it. Though it was hard to know since the long dream she had while within Optimus's gestational chamber, she was no longer certain about her dreams. They used to be good and helpful, now it seemed it could go either way.

Optimus had no idea what nightmare Azura had seen. But he had heard her loud whimpers through the monitor and came to the nursery to find her wiggling in her berth. It was morning though, so Azura will want to stay awake now. But he had to wait until she had calmed down now so he just had to wait. He caressed her back gently while walking towards the change table slowly as she did need a change, but he would make her more upset if he tried to change her now.

Optimus turned his head a little to kiss the back of her head, and she waved her hand a little at him, which made him smile slightly at her slight irritation. "I know, I know. You just want to be held. I do not know what you saw, but it was just a nightmare. Though I know your dreams can be more vivid at times...which still had me curious." Azura did not react to his comment and he sighed deeply. "When you calm down, I'll get you out of that diaper and cleaned before giving you a bath. I think that will make the start of the day pretty nice." Again, no response. That was pretty normal for an infant sparkling and Optimus just smiled. "Maybe after you filled your tank with some energon, would you like chocolate milk? Since Jack and Miko brought several bottles, I know you've enjoyed having them."
