After requesting a tea from Mrs Mae Jiyeon had gone after Jungwon up to their apartment. Barely even letting the door click behind her before slowly turning the corner and looking into the kitchen.

"Jungwon?" Jiyeon carefully called and he immediately turned around with half a cup of steaming coffee and a kettle in his hands.

"Jake just called, they're at the lake house you talked about," Jungwon grinned brightly as she tugged her sleeves down over her hands and glanced at the windows, "I say a week or so and you'll be in complete peace from now on."

"Jungwo-" she started once again and was immediately cut off by a blabbering Jungwon.

"And then once this case is done I think we should get some days off and after that, you can be a full-time detective with me. After today I think you can't deny the fact that you'd make a great detective no matter how many doub-" Jungwon had jumped in his place and abruptly turned around when Jiyeon had exclaimed his full name at him.

His eyes were wide as he just stared at her in shock, trying to comprehend what she had yelled at him.

"What?" Jungwon frowned, "have I done something."

"I am not okay," Jiyeon admitted and he nodded slowly, "I feel sick..."

"Okay... alright..." Jungwon hummed with a nod and carefully placed his cup of coffee down before wandering over to her and rubbing her arms gently, "should we get you to bed then?"

"I just... I don't think I should've gone there today," Jiyeon admitted quietly and dared look up at him. Her eyes completely glazed over and slowly seemed to grow more and more distant, "I know I should've listened to you, but I just wanted it over with and now I can't even think straight. It's like... like..." her breathing grew quicker as one of her hands went up to tap the back of her head.

Quickly she had slipped out of Jungwon's grip and down onto the floor. Crouching down with her hands over her ears. Her face turned up in pain before she fell down onto her hip and slumped up against the wall beside her.

"Hey... hey..." Jungwon cooed gently and quickly crouched down beside her, watching as she closed her eyes tightly and gasped for air. Tears streaming down her face, "Jiyeon..." he carefully grabbed her wrists and tugged her hands away from her ears, "Can I help? Is it alright that I touch you?"

He didn't get an answer, only a quiet nod between a few gasps. Immediately he sat down on the floor and leaned against the wall. His arms circled around her with care before bringing him over towards him. Automatically she found herself sitting across his him, face buried in the crook of his neck while she sobbed. Her body shook against him as he simply tried to rock back and forth with unending hushes.

"I know..." he murmured gently, running a hand through her hair and pulling her even closer, "it's alright, Ji... it's alright."

For a short second her hand grabbed onto his shoulder before both her arms reached up and clung to him tightly. It seemed like an eternity they sat there, him rocking her back and forth as he let her cry. Eventually, his phone buzzed in his pocket and even though he expected it to be work-related he quickly checked it.

We arranged a therapist for Jiyeon. We already registered her and pre-paid seven sessions for her. Just call them and tell them it's for Jiyeon Young.

Jungwon let out a small huff at the message. Placing his phone on the floor beside him and turning his attention to the mess in his lap. Eventually, a careful knock was on the door.

"It's open!" Jungwon called out, causing the lump in his arms to jump slightly, "Sorry... it's just Mrs Mae with your tea."

"Oh dear..." Mrs Mae murmured as she turned the corner and saw the two on the floor, "I'll call-"

"I can handle it, Mrs Mae... thank you," Jungwon murmured with a nod and reached an arm up to grab the cup of tea she extended towards him, "I know what it is. I'll bring her back to somewhat normal in a bit."

"I'll go down and bake a cake," Mrs Mae quickly decided and turned on her heel and rushed out of the apartment again. Determined to bake a good cake for dessert that night.

"Do you want your tea?" Jungwon murmured quietly, "It'll get cold if you don't drink it," he reminded gently and she lifted her head momentarily, "a few sips?"

"Okay," it was a quite hoarse whisper that came from Jiyeon as she straightened up a bit. Taking her arms down slowly and grabbing onto the cup with shaking hands.

Her eyes were completely red and swollen. The tip of her nose had taken on a rosy red colour as well with wet streaks down her cheeks. Jungwon watched in silence as she took a few small sips from the tea. His hands either rubbing her knee or back

He did notice how she kept staring at the floor a bit ahead instead of looking up at him, but he knew better than to say anything. Instead, he let her do whatever she needed, which eventually ended up with her leaning against his chest. His hand on her back went to her shoulder and squeezed it.

After a few more sips she slowly extended the cup down towards the hand that laid on her knee. Quickly Jungwon took it and placed it on the floor beside him, watching as she slumped against him again and let the tears continue to fall.

"I think I'm gonna be sick," she whispered and Jungwon nodded, brushing her hair out of her face.

"Now?" Jungwon questioned and she only shrugged, "Jake and Sunghoon have paid for you to go to a proper therapist. Seven sessions. If you need more I'll pay, alright?"

"I don't like my therapist," Jiyeon murmured.

"Neither do I, but I know this one. It's a new one," Jungwon assured, "she's really nice and good at her job. If you want me to, I can come along too."

Jiyeon hummed quietly and closed her eyes for a few seconds as Jungwon only continued to sit and hug her close. Her fingers started to pick at his shirt and rub the fabric between her fingers.

"I don't like being like this..." she murmured.

"I know... that's why you first broke down like this now," he pointed out, getting another small hum, "but it's okay, you know that. With me it's okay. If we have to do this every day for you to feel better, then we'll do that. Okay?"

"Every day is a lot," she reminded.

"Then so be it," Jungwon nodded, "I know what I walked into when I let you move in here... you know what you walked into when you decided to stay... I'll sit here day and night, this very spot, and comfort you if you need it. I'll sit in bed. I'll sit on the couch. Heck, I'll sit on the kitchen counter if that's where you need to break down. Anywhere, anytime. Alright? You hear me?"

"Mhm..." she nodded slightly, "I'm really gonna be sick though..."

"Alright," he hummed.

With a small groan, but movements that seemed effortless, he quickly lifted her up from the ground and wandered out to the bathroom with her. Holding her hair away from her face as he rubbed her back.

By the time Jiyeon was feeling better, and in bed, her tea was ice cold, but at least she was sleeping soundly.
