"How about this? I'll be there in your dream with you. That way, I'll keep you safe." The idea brought a flicker of relief to Jeonghan's heart, a small light in the darkness that had enveloped him.

Jeonghan looked at Scoups, his eyes shimmering with a flicker of hope.

"Is it really possible for you to do that?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. Scoups nodded, a playful smirk dancing on his lips.

"Oh, absolutely. But I won't be there in person; I can weave my powers into your dreams, making me a part of your slumber," he explained, leaving Jeonghan in a state of bewilderment.

"Remember, Jeonghan, I'm a demon; it's in our nature to shape the dreams of humans."

Though the concept was still a bit elusive to Jeonghan, he felt a deep-seated trust in Scoups. He lay back, clutching the fabric of Scoups' shirt as if it were a lifeline.

Scoups settled beside him, his keen eyes catching the way Jeonghan fought to keep his eyelids from drooping. With a tender smile, he brushed his fingers through Jeonghan's hair, whispering, "Just sleep, you dummy"

Jeonghan pouted for a moment, but the warmth of Scoups' presence was too comforting to resist. He surrendered to the pull of sleep, his eyes fluttering shut as he drifted into a dreamlike state.

As Scoups gently caressed his forehead, a surge of anger bubbled within him at the sight of a red mark on Jeonghan's neck—a telltale sign that the demon had invaded his previous dream.

Irritated, Scoups summoned his powers to erase the mark, fully aware that it might provoke the other demon.

Once the bruise vanished, he turned his gaze back to Jeonghan, who was now peacefully asleep.

Acting on an impulse, he pressed a soft kiss to the spot where the bruise had been, careful not to leave any trace that might disturb Jeonghan's tranquility.

When he pulled away, he caught a glimpse of a small, content smile gracing Jeonghan's lips, filling Scoups with warmth, knowing that his beloved was lost in a pleasant dream.

Leaning down, he placed a gentle kiss on Jeonghan's forehead and murmured, "You have nothing to fear, Hannie. I will shield you from everything, even if it means guarding you from myself."

Next morning, the first rays of dawn filtered through the curtains, Jeonghan stirred from his slumber, a gentle smile gracing his lips. The night had wrapped him in a cocoon of dreams, leaving him refreshed and buoyant.

He blinked his eyes open, and there, beside him, lay Scoups, his features softened in peaceful repose, eyes still closed. Jeonghan felt a flutter in his chest, captivated by the serene beauty of the man beside him.

"Stop staring, Jeonghan," Scoups murmured, his voice thick, he finally opened his eyes. He had expected to find Jeonghan flustered, perhaps even shy, but instead, he was met with a radiant smile that lit up Jeonghan's face, leaving Scoups momentarily speechless.

"Mmm? I thought you'd be nervous. What's going on?" Scoups teased, a playful glint in his eyes as he propped himself up on one elbow.

Jeonghan chuckled softly, his heart racing. "Why should I hide my feelings? You already know how I feel about you. There's no need for pretense, right? I was just admiring how incredibly handsome you look this morning."

His words hung in the air, bold and sincere, causing Scoups to blink in surprise, his expression shifting to one of astonishment.

"Jeonghan? Wh—" Scoups began, but Jeonghan cut him off, his voice steady and filled with determination.
