The Year was 685, and The Vampire King, Vlad Dracula Tepes's daughter, Isolde Tepes, was born, a vampire just like her father, and thus, The Vampire Princess, and, only 9 years later, Dracula's wife, and Isolde's human mother, Vermillisa Tepes, is killed by humans...

(POV switches to that of a 9 Year Old Isolde)

Isolde was just out playing, when then, suddenly, an army of human villagers siege Castle Dracula, and her dad is focused on the safety of his loved ones, and her mom decides to stay behind, to let them get away.

"Mom!" The 9 Year Old Vampire Princess cried out while reaching out at her human mother as her father, Dracula, grabbed her and ran off with her to keep her safe, as they escaped from Castle Dracula for the time being, and ended up watching from afar.

The human villagers then grab and drag off Vermillisa, while calling her a witch for not just loving, not just marrying, but producing the spawn of a vampire, and carry her back to the village, while Dracula, along with Isolde, follow from a distance.

Isolde watched, horrified, as her mother was bound to a stake in the village center. The humans jeered and threw torches at the pyre, their hatred for the undead burning as bright as the fire that engulfed her mother.

And yet, in her last and dying moments, Vemillisa, had a smile on her face, one of love and forgiveness.

The sight of her mother's fiery death was seared into Isolde's young mind, a memory that would haunt her for centuries to come. The hatred and fear in the villagers' eyes as they burned her alive was a stark contrast to the love and acceptance she had felt within the castle walls.

Isolde then clung tightly to her father's chest, who was also crying just as hard deep down, but far less so on the outside, wanting to be strong for his daughter and to console her and reassure her that everything was going to be alright.

Her father, Dracula, had watched the destruction of his castle with a heavy heart, but his rage was not solely for the loss of his beloved wife and home. It was for the innocence that was stolen from his daughter that night. He made a vow to protect Isolde and to give her the power to never know fear again. He knew that the path ahead would not be an easy one, but he was determined to guide her through it, to show her the true nature of the world and the power that lay within their kind.

Eventually, the father and daughter returned to Castle Dracula, and Dracula then announced a message to the humans, and that, he would give them one year of peace until he destroyed the village and slaughtered them, because his wife would have wanted him to at least forgive them enough to give them a year.

The humans, overjoyed by the temporary reprieve, did not waste their time. They used the year to fortify their village, train their soldiers, and prepare for the inevitable vengeance of Dracula and his daughter. Yet, in the castle, Dracula and Isolde focused not on vengeance, but on education. He taught her the ancient ways of their people, the history of their kind, and the true nature of their power.

And, a year later, in the Year 695, the time of reckoning had come, and Dracula and Isolde were downright offended by what they saw, the village of humans, on that day, held a celebration of the one year anniversary of the killing of Vermillisa.

The smell of roasting meats and the sound of laughter filled the air as the humans feasted and danced, completely oblivious to the shadow that had descended upon them. The castle loomed in the distance, a silent sentinel of the wrath that was about to be unleashed.

And, as mad as Dracula was, Isolde was infinitely madder, and what she was about to throw, was beyond any temper tantrum.

Dracula then descended upon the Village beginning to massacre literally everyone in the village, man, woman, and even child, for even the children had partaken in the killing of his wife.
