Chapter 11 || Introductions.

Ace stood in front of the class silently, looking around Iruka's shoulder shyly.

All eyes were on her, trying to catch a glimpse of the girl behind their sensei, teeming with curiosity and excitement. It looked as though everyone was the same age as her. They all filled the wooden rows with lively colours and hushed chatter, a stark contrast to just how empty the room had been for her test the day before.

There were a few familiar faces in the crowd, people she had bumped into by chance. But one face was missing, someone she could've sworn would be here.

Naruto hadn't come in to class this morning.

Maybe she remembered wrong, but she was certain that at the start of the show he was in school with everyone else. Her brother had tried to get her to watch the first episode once and that much she remembered.

Oh how she was regretting never paying attention.

"Good morning class. As you can see, today we have a new student joining us!" Iruka informed cheerily, stepping aside to reveal Ace, who looked as though she'd rather be anywhere else.

"It's you!" A loud voice calls out as the blonde haired girl she had met that fateful day in the cafe stood up.

A familiar head of pink stands as well, "Yeah! I remember you!" She declares, pointing at the small girl with an almost accusatory glare. "From the cafe the other day!" She reminds helpfully.

Ace allows an awkward smile to creep up in return, unaware that it looked more like a grimace that a grin. She had been dreading this part. "That's me." She responds in a deadpan.

The room erupts into chaos and noise rather quick, kids asking questions dramatically and people excitedly standing up from their seat as if to get a better look.

"She looks kinda like Sasuke!"

"Where did she come from?"

"That's the Uchiha symbol!"

"She's kinda cute, I wonder what her name is"

"What a drag"

"I bet she'll sit next to me"

It was making her head spin just how much had started happening in the few seconds it had taken the loud duo to shout at her.

"Alright guys, quiet down" Iruka requests, wandering further towards the centre of the board, waving his hands to get the attention of his students.

The class remained loud, some kids shouting questions at Ace still. She just stared blankly forward at Iruka, completely overwhelmed with the situation. The older man looked as if his patience was thinning rapidly, a prominent vain appearing on his forehead.

"I said shut it!" Iruka shouts loudly, cutting through the noise with authority, effectively silencing the kids, who stared at him with focused eyes.

"Sorry sensei" a quiet chorus started as everyone returned to their seats.

Iruka let out a huff, "Thank you," he continued, standing off to the side once again. "I'd like you all to welcome your new classmate with kindness and understanding." He instructs, shooting a few pointed looks at a couple of students. "Now, would you like to introduce yourself?" Iruka turned back to Ace with a smile.
