(Bell POV)
A few days had passed since the War game ended in our victory. A lot had happened after the fact but perhaps most importantly a new place to call home. The extravagant and massive mansion of a Familia hall, once owned by the, now disbanded following the results of the war game, Apollo familia.
Moving all of our stuff was a little difficult considering we needed to search through the rubble of the old church to find some of it but once that was done we quickly made use of the spacious manor and moved in. The new members of our familia as well. Along with my level three upgrade celebrations were in order.
I had so many things and so many people to be thankful for, I truly couldn't have gotten this far without their help.
Thinking about it all, I was incredibly lucky to have the relationships I did. Even Amaterasu familia's help, which seemed like coincidence more than anything, was a massive factor.
Speaking of, even after everything was said and done Ciel still showed up and helped us move into our new house, and in particular Lily seemed to enjoy speaking with her. I know Ciel was responsible for training her and also saving her from Soma Familia allowing her to join Hestia familia for the war game, but seeing her interact with Ciel made it clearer the speed at which things were happening even while I was busy training with Aiz and Tiona for the war game.
Ciel was still friendly with everyone else as well. In fact she was so easy to get along with it almost felt as though everyone had known her for quite a long time. Although, a part of me felt as though there was more to her than she let on.
Things had mostly been resolved at this point. Ciel was playing some sort of strategy game with Lily in the living room, Welf was organizing his stuff in his workshop, Makoto was exploring the grounds of the mansion, and I was with Hestia watching the game between Ciel and Lily play out.
I'll admit I didn't quite understand the rules but it was interesting to watch nonetheless. There was a board that was an 8x8 grid and pieces with a white side and a black side.
Ciel called it Othello.
Watching Lily and Ciel play was interesting, but a part of me was antsy.
If I was being honest my body ached, both from the training before and from the wargame itself. It was intense and now that I finally got a moment to rest, taking advantage of it was important. I knew that. Yet, a strong desire to keep moving was there. I had done a lot of training over the past few days and I progressed to the best of my ability both in stats and in skill in order to win the war game. I definitely wanted to see the sort of progress I've made against the monsters of the dungeon as soon as I could.
But even I knew that doing so without resting would be reckless.
Such thoughts were at the back of my mind as I watched the game. Ciel's expression was laid back and easy going while Lily had a stiff expression. Just by watching the time it took for them to take their moves it was clear who had the advantage.
And as those thoughts came to my mind. "Annnd that's the game," Ciel said in a light hearted tone.
I couldn't help but let out a breath I hadn't noticed I'd been holding at those words. It was Ciel's win.
"..." Lily silently stared hard at the board for a moment. Her eyes sharpened. "...O–one more time," She mumbled. "Just one more time." A strong look of resolve on her face.
Ciel merely smiled at that. "Very well," she nodded.
She cleaned the board of the extra pieces and they began once again. This had gone on for several games by this point. Each time Ciel won Lily would request another game.
