You were back in the phantom dimension, sitting atop the wall. The others filled you in on their plans to get the jeep and use it as a means to see how far you were able to travel in that dimension, something you wish you thought of before destroying a perfectly good vehicle.
You found out phantoms had a weakness to lights when the others had begun to set lights on the wall that Aiden had ordered.
Aiden had also bought the others suits, and they were pretty cool. You had lost your axe in the forest that time you and Aiden raced. So in its place, you had a stop sign you had run over the first few nights in the phantom dimension.
You looked at Ashlyn and then where she was looking. The only problem you guys had while putting the lights up was that they attracted the phantoms. It kept them at bay, but it turned out it didn't actually kill them, just stunned them for a bit.
You looked at Ashlyn who glared at the phantoms with a defiant glint in her eyes.
You guys got down and while Logan was climbing the ladder, Ashlyn started to speak.
"Alright, let's go over the plan one more time." She had her arms crossed and stared intently at the floor.
You were honestly excited yet a little nervous. Mostly, you just wanted to leave.
"Um.." There was a meek voice that had come from Taylor.
"Are we uh— sure we want to do this?" Her voice was nervous and hesitant, seeming to second guess the whole plan.
"...What?" Ashlyn's voice was barely above a whisper, seeming to be in disbelief.
Taylor guiltily looked away, her eyes on the floor. "I mean—"
"Y'know, m-maybe just staying in the graveyard every night wouldn't..be so bad, right? Especially with the lights up..couldn't we just hide in here until the seven hours are up?"
"I-I like that idea..." Logan piped up while still coming down from the ladder.
"Are you serious...?"
"I thought you guys wanted out of here? And now you're saying you don't mind being trapped here for the rest of our lives?" Ashlyn scoffed in disbelief, and you honestly couldn't blame her.
"And you, why are you being so quiet?" She asked, looking at Tyler.
Tyler looked away awkwardly, staying quiet as Ashlyn continued.
"You're the one who pitched a fit wanting to go to Savannah, so why are you passive about it now?"
Tyler flinched at her question, and like his usual fiery nature, raised his voice angrily. "That was before we knew about the lights and before there was a horde of those things right outside the door!"
