Back in Iacon City, Sentry—the youngest son of the late Vanguardia and the former dictator of Cybertron, Sentinel, and the adopted son of Optimus Prime—had returned home from the Autobot Academy, where he was training to become an Autobot. Recently, he had a shocking encounter with his long-lost brother, Ultrawave, only to discover that Ultrawave was his adopted brother, not his biological one. During their reunion, Ultrawave revealed a startling truth: Ultrawave's real parents were Solus Prime and Megatronus Prime. Ultrawave recounted how he had left Iacon and eventually joined the Decepticons, a revelation that shattered Sentry.
The thought that his lost brother had become his enemy left Sentry so shaken that Ultra Magnus, a high-ranking Autobot commander, decided he should focus on his training at the Academy before resuming any scouting missions. Sentry understood the dangers of encountering a Decepticon, but nothing had prepared him for facing Ultrawave—especially after being told by Sentinel that his brother had disappeared and died.
Sentry's grief turned to rage as he realized how deeply his father had deceived him. Sentinel had never been the hero he pretended to be. He was a traitor to the Primes and to Cybertron, enslaving the planet with the Quintessons after betraying and murdering the Thirteen Primes in a failed attempt to seize the Matrix of Leadership. His ruthless ambition drained Cybertron of its Energon, plunging the planet into darkness until Sentinel was ultimately killed by D-16—who later became Megatron. Only after Orion Pax was reborn as Optimus Prime and claimed the Matrix of Leadership was Cybertron restored, with Energon flowing again and Megatron and his Decepticons banished from Iacon.
But Sentry's hatred for Sentinel deepened with the discovery that Ultrawave had been stolen from his true parents. Why would Sentinel take the child of the very Primes he betrayed and slaughtered? What purpose could it have served in his quest for power? Had he offered the stolen child as part of a dark bargain with the Quintessons, trading innocent lives for Energon to fuel his conquest of Cybertron?
These questions haunted Sentry, leaving him to wonder what other secrets his father had buried—and whether the answers could change the fate of Cybertron once again.

Iacon City – The Prime Residence...
Altair Comet sat at the dining table, her optics flickering across the glowing holopad in front of her. The screen displayed detailed records of Cybertron's history, focusing on the early days of the civil war. Despite her best efforts, she struggled to concentrate. It wasn't that the information wasn't interesting—learning about how her father had risen from a simple cogless miner to the leader of the Autobots was inspiring—but it wasn't enough. She wanted more than just words on a screen.
B-127, lounging against the counter with his arms crossed, peeked over her shoulder. "Alright, kid, history lesson time!" he said with his usual enthusiasm. "Cybertronian Civil War, chapter one: Megatron, angry miner turned warlord. Optimus Prime, former miner turned legendary leader. It's got all the drama of a HoloVid series, but with way more explosions!"
Altair let out an exasperated sigh. "I know all of this already, B," she said, flicking the holopad off. "But I don't just want to read about history—I want to see it. The real Cybertron, not just Iacon City. I want to go out there and experience it for myself."
At that, B-127 straightened up, shaking his head firmly. "Oh, no. No way, no how. You are not going up there." His normally playful tone turned serious. "You know the rules. Your dad would literally turn me into scrap if I let you out of the city."
Altair crossed her arms, a mischievous gleam in her optics. "Come on, B. You used to go outside Iacon all the time! You and Dad and Mom—back when he was Orion Pax, before he became Optimus Prime—you all snuck onto an Energon train to get to the surface!"
